I don't have the wedge ones but I am a 6.5 in almost all shoes and in converse I wear a men's 5/ women's 7 in some cuts such as the slim chucks and a men's 5.5/ women's 7.5 in the classic chuck taylors.

I haven't worn mine in icy or snowy conditions. As far as sizing, I usually wear a 7 or 7.5, and I bought an 8 in these. I wear medium-thick socks (athletic type). They fit well!

I know, it's annoying as heck. I've still worn mine on days when I'm going from indoor parking lot to mall, but on my driveway or icy sidewalks it's asking for a slip-and-fall! You could try to get something grippy put on the bottom, maybe.

I think they would only work as indoor shoes but then maybe too hot if they are lined?

AAAAHHHH Una...I didn't even THINK of that! Since we will now have snow and ice until at least April, it's a NO GO for the shoes. My sprained ankle is just beginning to heal and I don't need another tumble. Thanks for looking out for me!

No idea about sizing, but they look great! I agree with Una, Converse and snow and ice is a bad combination.

Agree with Diana. I got a 7 (usually take a 6.5 or a 7 in some boots where I want thick socks). And I only wear thin socks with mine.

Just be careful about slipping - my non-treaded sneakers are deadly in snow and ice!

I got my boot size, which is half a size larger than my actual size. My feet are narrow and low volume though, and even still I wish I had gone up another half size because my toes almost touch the front. So I'd say they run short as well as narrow.

ETA: I expect the suede would stretch more with wear though. Canvas and rubber of the regular ones don't stretch at all.

I found they fit small and narrow. I am usually a 9.5 or a 10 in women's shoes, and the 10 in the canvas Hi-Ness fits with very thin socks only.

For those of you who own the Converse Hi-Ness sneakers, how did you find the sizing?

Check out this burgundy suede winter-lined version! Am thinking these would look fab with my burgundy skinnies for a weekend sporty look. And I don't mind suede in the snow at all - that's what a good protective spray is for!

I sent the link to my hubby and he thinks they are "sporty sexy" (lol!) and could be part of an early Christmas present.
