The liner is compensated for and they are not anymore narrow, even slightly less so. I ordered Angie's leather faux-fur lined ones in black and absolutely love them! So much so that when someone (I think Anne and Joy) mentioned that they are on sale for $45 at 6pm I ordered the burgundy!
