I am not sure what and if there is a difference between track pants, jogger em sweat pants etc...and I see them called all sorts of things in retail here.

I would wear your ones either with converse sneakers or with flat sandals. Or maybe with a brown or camel or similar ankle boot. I have one pair and I wear them mostly in warmer weather with sandals or sneakers with no socks. I might wear them with a heel at night but have not done so as yet.....I like them because they are soft and comfortable and on me I think they are more flattering than mid length shorts.

I somehow ended up with a mini-collection of this type of pant, without realizing it. I also decided the other day that I'm over the whole look. I bought a few pair of dressier ones, but don't find them easy to style, especially in winter where the footwear issue takes over. Elastic waistbands on dressy pants are tough too - I feel poufy and weird in them. My more casual ones are going to end up being just that - casual sweats I push up at the bottom and wear with sneakers. Not sure how I got sucked into this whole trend -for me and my body, it was a better idea in theory than in practice.

So much for answering your question I think this hit a sore spot !

I don't think I'd wear them with sneakers - too literal "jogging" outfit for me. Well, maybe really dressy sneakers that were really stylish or something. I like the idea of wearing them with a dressier top. I don't wear mine out of the house but wish I were brave enough because they are SO comfortable!

I have some just like that. No idea what they're called. I wear them with slip-ons and these cropped quilted sweatshirts. It's a boyish, hipster look.

You look fab in your track pants. The narrow leg looks great.

I suspect that track pants are the new jogging pants and those actually jogging wear something more like leggings. I have some in black silk and only like them with ankle-strap shoes as I don't wear heels. I thought I might wear them with booties but so far have not because they are not warm enough. maybe this spring. Finding the right top is also a challenge. I would wear them as MOTG casual, out for shopping and meetings, dining, and travel. I would like to get a pair in a light grey or taupe for summer...cool but covered.

Am a little confused about the difference between track pants, jogger pants, soft pants, etc. and styling them. On Amazon some that , to me, look just like the joggers, or sweat pants were called harem pants. They definitely are not butt baggy or dropped crotch like harem pants!!!!! In my search for another pair similar to the ones in this photo and on pinterest, I am seeing all sorts of things like the ones that look a lot like sweat pants worn with heels, all kinds with sneakers, etc.

My previous thoughts were the pants with ankle elastic that were made of woven fabrics, some silky , were called track pants. and these were the ones we wore supposed to wear with heels of dressier flats, and tops that were not work out type t's.

Do you wear jogging pants and or track pants?-how do you style them, where do you wear them?

I have two pairs of knit pants that look like the jogger kind featured with athletic shoes or bare feet. These I wear to the gym, or for sports. I have a pair of black silky track pants that I wore only once with pointy tow flats and a sweater. here of the photos of my new chambray jogger pants. I plan to wear them styled like photo 2 to obedience trials where I only walk and the others with the athletic shoes for agility events with my dog as I have to actually run.

.
