My heels had cracks so deep they would bleed. Besides treatment, I ended up replacing all my footware because I kept recontaminating my feet by continuing to wear my favorite shoes, boots, sandals.&nbsp;</p> <p>I changed to non-formaldahyde nail polish too. I was plagued by what I thought was super dry feet, cracked heels, etc. but saw on some blog that those could be a type of foot fungus -- not all athlete's foot is between the toes. I tried a drugstore brand product for athlete's foot and was amazed by the difference in a couple of weeks. I'm not diabetic, but apparently anyone can use it. The one I have now is called Footlogix (for cracked heels).
