And I have a feeling the political associations are not entirely a coincidence — I am well familiar with the leanings of the design community in general. </p> <p>It’s unrealistic to think that the color of the year every year will be exciting or inspiring to everyone. If it were chartreuse or citron, I’d be decidedly uninspired myself. To those who don’t love this choice, take heart, “colors of the year” in the past have failed to flood the retail markets quite a few times.
