Becky--I just buy medium shoes and have them stretched. In some cases I don't need to. These are so soft and the elastic is so stretchy that they just mold to your foot.

San--I had the same problem with the Swanns. I ended up having to go down a size and have the width stretched, and even then after a few wearings they stretched a bit more and now they slip a bit but not horribly. I have that problem a lot because my forefoot is so wide but my foot is so small. That's actually why I was so drawn to these. They DO stay on your foot. The only problem is that the back comes up quite high and bites into your ankle a bit. I'm going to try walking around the house with some bandaids to relax them a bit and hopefully that will solve it. If not I'll just take them to a cobbler and maybe they can trim the back down a bit. But they are definitely comfy enough to be worth it. They feel like slippers but with more padding.

They don't look as sporty as I thought they would. Maybe it's because I got the silver. I think I can wear them with casual dresses and skirts though. I tend to not see shoes like this as being sporty anymore because they are very common in urban settings. So to me shoes like this say urban more than sport.

Those do look comfy and they are cute. Did they pass the city walking test?
I bought the Me Too Swans a while back and had to give them to my grand daughter because they wouldn't stay on my feet when I walked. I tried various foot pads with no luck. These AK's I like, looks like they will stay on with that elasic in the back.

Thanks and good for you! Keep us posted on whether they make your 8-hour mark. I’ll pass on the info to my sportier clients.

You could wear the medium width? Or were you able to get a wide? The shoebuy link showed only medium width.

Oh wow, thank you Maya! Let us know how they fare in the city walking test, will you? I'm always looking to build my collection of nice 8 hour shoes, and they are a bit sporty, but I bet under bootleg or trouser denim you could hardly notice.

As queen of the fussy foot club, I feel it is my duty to inform the masses when I find a comfy pair of shoes.

http://www.shoebuy.com/ak-anne-klein-saba/239757

I'm linking to shoebuy because they seem to be gone from Zappos. They're sportier than what I'd usually go for, but they felt fantastic when I tried them on. The leather is super soft and the fabric strap is very flexible. Best of all the heel actually stays on my foot and doesn't slip off. I got the silver ones and am keen on duplicating them in black if they pass the city walking test. I got them on sale for $35 at Lord and Taylor if you have one nearby.
