And I am seriously *swooning* over the thrifted Thom Browne sweater--that's an epic thrifting find! I'm sort of addicted to TheRealReal right now, and the bargains are sometimes fantastic (my "gateway" purchase was a new-with-tags Dries van Noten jacket priced at $1,400, which I bought for $180ish--after that I was hooked!), but I can safely say that I have never scored that kind of deal! I love the Thom Brown aesthetic, so I can't wait to see it on you. It's been a while in this crazy pandemic life. @jaime - I am wondering what to do! I cut it into an asymmetrical cut in June - and then we went into lockdown again, and the salons haven't been open since! So I am enduring an asymmetrical grow out once again, which sucks. I too would like to go shorter - but I might just do a short layered bob for a while until i know I can get to my hairstylist regularly. I likely won't be able to get in again before June - so I'll want a cut that can grow out well in case we have a fourth wave (God forbid!) Here are a couple of casual iterations: one with my favourite hazelnut/grey reversible Vince coat (I know it's very boxy, but the shape is what I love about it) and another with my rust Rag & Bone coat and hand knit thrifted fair isle cardigan. I always struggle to make the cardigan less 'grandma' and I think the boots offer the perfect counterpoint. Next up: a dressy version with my newly thrifted Thom Browne Couture sweater ($8.99, from last season's $1,200+!) Paired with a st. Michael's vintage wool midi pleated check shirt, made in the UK. I've found some wonderful, beautifully made wool and cashmere skirts lately in aqua, hazelnut and check, and I can't wait till I can actually wear them out again!
