An, let us know how it works out. I find myself drawn to different colors at different seasons, but they can play nicely together with the right print scarf thrown into the mix. In the fall I want reds and oranges and browns while spring with the same temperatures has me reaching for turquoise, peach/coral, and cream. Purple and cobalt or medium blues seem to appeal any time.

Thanks Joy and Isabel. I like your suggestion of the purple and turquoise/blue. I haven't been wearing much color at all so this would be pushing the boundaries for me! but I'll definately give it a go.

I really like joy's idea. They would all tone together really well ! After all, blue and red do make purple.

Also, I really like the idea of a signature accessory or fabric or print - a la Angie. Like everyday a pearl something. Pearl hoop earrings or a pearl bracelet or a pearl brooch, or stripes on a belt, or a scarf.......

I LOVE this idea. I would love to have a "capsule" season wardrobe. But like Joy, I am not disciplined enough.

Let us know what you decide.

How about a shade of purple that you can wear? Angie mentioned red with purple seen on the runway at Fashion Week. I'd add a third color, maybe turquoise or a shade of blue, that would go with the red and purple.
Personally I love the idea but am not disciplined enough to do this. A sister's friend does do this with fushia, purple and cobalt and neutrals.

I'm just trying to get a wardrobe plan together for Autumn/Winter. I'm a summer coloring and planning on my neutrals being: charcoal, black, white/cream, & grey and I was wanting to pick out a couple of 'signature' colors so that everything mixes and matches easily. I'ld choose red as one color, any ideas for a second color? Do you do this or am I being a bit pedantic? What are your signature colors?
