I had to do it all the time when I wore dress clothes, and I also had to have some of them hemmed because they were for wear with lower heels. The burgundy I like a lot. The blush is less obviously flattering to my eye, because it’s two things I’m not used to: a pale color, and a large scale print. So I’d love your expertise: does it look ok with my coloring? Or had I better stick with the darker option?</p> <p>I also ordered a pair of wide-legged Topshop navy trousers, pictured below. Alas, too small. I love the feel of the fabric and the wide leg silhouette makes me feel fab. But they fit too tightly across the hips! I’m contemplating ordering a size up, but I wonder if the waist will just be way too big then? Is that something I could easily have altered?
