I think you might be a Deep Autumn. The Deep Autumn is a blend of both autumn and winter. I happen to be a huge believer in color analysis :-)
Just make sure its the advanced 12 season system; the 4 season is out of date.

You are adorable and look like an Autumn to me. Your complexion seems on the warm side and you have hazel eyes. I am surprised that bright white looks good on you, I would think cream or off white would be better and not huge contrast. That is just a suggestion. I bet you would look great in earth tones but if you hate them you will not feel good in them. Maybe you could try some rich warms like gold, olive green, turquoise, tomato red? It would be helpful to see colors against your face.

Joy - I hear that all the time, but I've tried holding colors up to my face, and none of them seem to make any huge difference (except for pastels which are just plain awful). I don't think I've ever felt anything made me "glow." Is it just because I haven't found them yet?

San - No I haven't seen Tarzy's post, I'll have to go look for it! Thanks for the tip. I think my problem is that I'm worried I'm attracted to colors that are bad for me. I've been on the hunt for a bubblegum pink lip color like what people with coloring like Zooey Deschanel wear (fair, black hair, blue eyes), and it just looks so terrible on me, so I've been wondering what else I'm doing wrong?

Renee - I'm probably as confused as you are as far as colors go, but from what I hear as long as the undertones match yours, you're safe. I think. :P

I'll try and get some comparison pictures up here soon. I've been having issues with my camera. =/ Thanks guys!

What cute pictures. Your haircut is killer.
It looks like you have it figured out. Did you see Tarzy's post this morning about finding out she has both warm and cool undertones. It sounds like this is not an exact science since we are all unique.
I had the Color Me Beautiful colors done a few months ago. When the teacher draped a coral-blush fabric over my shoulders, the blood seemed to drain right out of my face. It was pretty drastic. It was determined that I am a summer and should wear greyed down colors. I have a packet of paint chip colors that the teacher gave me for advice on what I should wear. Actually I still wear the clothes I have but over time I'm sure I will be replacing my wardrobe with better colors for me. Mostly what this has done for me is make me understand why I can't wear yellowish colors and to quit fighting it. Really it sounds like you are intuned to what looks good on you and what you like.

After at least 40 years of trying to find the right colors (which change as your skin tones and hair change!) my advice is to forget the season thing and go with what you know looks good. It just doesn't work very well to try to box yourself into a saeson. Your personality is also a factor in the colors you choose...maybe why you don't like earthtones, for example.
When holding a color up to your face, if it makes you glow it's a winner. If you look tired, scratch it off your list. Many colors will fall somewhere in between. It sounds like you already have a whole list of colors that make you glow. Check yourself in different intensities of the colors too.

I have a question..I am still trying to find my complimenting colors..I have auburn hair fair comlexion, and hazel eyes as i am getting older(mature) I find myself gravitating towards the pinks, dk blues..not the browns and golds.. Should I go for it or stay with the warm colors for my coloring?

Thanks, that link is very helpful! I'll post some color comparisons in a few hours after I get my errands out of the way; I got rid of a lot of clothes recently, but I'm sure I've got some weird stuff lying around...thanks again!

Oh also I don't know if this helps, but I got a different color book, "Life in Color" and I seem to be a Sun with an attraction to Star colors... I'll take a picture of the palettes in the book maybe (although I don't know if that breaks copyright law?).

While black and white aren't listed as colors, there are a lot of bright, pretty colors shown, not just earth tones. The book lists turquoise, aqua, red, yellow gold, lime, teal, purple, coral, pumpkin... but like I said, take all this stuff with a grain of salt. I think it can be helpful, just not the end-all, be-all of colors on people. I have to say, in the photos of people in the book, you can really see where the wrong color is draining and the right color brightens them up.

Could you post some photos with different colors for feedback?

I am still learning about all this color/season theory and, while I think the four season thing is a bit limiting (there are just too many variations to break people down into four seasons), it can be useful as a place to start.

So, flipping through the "Color Me Beautiful" book, it looks like you would be an autumn. Reddish-brown hair, brown eyes, warm undertone- described as Autumn in this book. Also, the picture with your cat was helpful- Bruiser is a cool, grey-toned beauty, and his colors really contrast against you, show how warm you are.

Can you check with the library to see if you can get one of the books? I found this one at the library. They have a great list of colors that are supposed to look good on Autumns (and your mother is right- earth tones are in there).

I've been wanting to get a color analysis done for a while, but after checking out what's available in the San Francisco area, $300+ is a little steep for me at the moment, but I would still like to get a good idea of what colors suit me...so would you guys like to help? :)

I'm half Chinese, so I'm kind of a weird yellow-pink-beige with brown eyes that sometimes seem a little hazel, and brownish-reddish hair that lightens in the summer to a brownish-blondish. The one thing I know is that I definitely have warm undertones; I can't wear any lipstick with blue undertones, it looks terrible on me (which breaks my heart, because I LOVE bubblegum pink).

My mom says I look great in earth tones, but I personally can't stand them. Both my mother and my boyfriend agree that I look really good in optic white, pure black, cobalt, tomato red, sunny yellow, kelly green, charcoal and hot pink. I look terrible in pastels and any color with the modifier "baby" in front of it. I think I can pull off both gold and silver jewelry with equal success.

Here are some pictures of me; these are the only ones with natural light. I was messing around with my laptop camera. Please excuse Bruiser. :P

http://img27.imageshack.us/gal.....o13wgu.jpg

Thanks for any help you can offer! I'm really pretty confused about this. For the most part I think I choose colors that at least aren't terrible on me, but it'd be great to figure out what category I am (e.g. clear summer, warm spring, deep winter, etc.) since I think some of the information I've given seems contradictory.

Thanks again ladies!
