These are all great ideas, thank you!

Firecracker, I got some Apt. 9 heathered gray tights once, the same line as my favorite black ones, and I couldn't even get them on. SO weird that they wouldn't fit. But there are other options. I have a credit at Sock Dreams, too.

unfrumped, I think I could do the drama a few times! It might be a bit much for me regularly, and even if I liked it, it would feel too bland to repeat very often. (I'm slightly appalled that I described a dramatic outfit as bland... but it's true.) Gray-out is an interesting idea. I'm not sure I can handle it by my face, but it's worth trying. Ribbed tights are an excellent idea, similar to the marled/heathered idea in color variation.

Brooklyn, I have all three of those colors! And I may have some brown in the giveaway pile. None of these tops actually have brown - the burgundy background is black - but it's still worth trying.

How about a marled tight that has a bit of white in it? I think they could tie in the white skirt with darker footwear and tops. I also keep thinking lace tights would be great with white faux leather, but finding the right colors to complement an outfit could be hard.

Sorry, I like your drama Pinterest!

But, I would try gray-out or similar--tonal but pale and fresh. I would see if you can use gray ribbed tight or such that look somewhat multitoned ( I say ribbed because then you get the darker gray on rib but lighter where stretches) and either pick up on the gray of your top prints or actually a soft gray top would look fab.

Love the tops. I can see grey, burgundy and navy working with those tops (also brown, but not if you don't like it!).

Hmm. I haven't really worn dark brown in several years, and most of my capsules are built around black or navy. Grey is a good idea, though hard to fine a nice even-toned one. I have some light/medium true gray. The top I'm wearing now is this one; I liked it so much I have it in another colorway. (Which is gray! This idea may have potential.) And the navy floral. All of these should work; I need to SYC a bit to see other options. I have some lightweight sweaters that may work, depending on how their length works at the moment.

What about dark brown tights with the brown boots? I like that combo. Dark brown looks fresh with white. Have you tried grey? What colour top do you wear with the skirt? I think the other colours you mention have potential too, depending on what other colours you are wearing.

This is a bit too much drama for me. I don't have a white topper, anyway, nor a white sweater.
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/18577417185651716/

Today I'm wearing a white faux leather knee-length skirt with heels. I was almost uncomfortably cold outside in the morning, and it really isn't very cool yet. Since I've just started wearing this skirt more - it pairs very well with the mixed-media tees from Kohl's, for example - this was disappointing. I don't wear it much in the summer because it's so unbreathable, so I was looking forward to cool-weather wear. Until this morning!

I browsed Pinterest and found very little. Mostly it was dramatic black and white outfits, with all black leg- and foot-wear. I'm not a dramatic black and white person. I love color, and I'm picky about white. It's got to be true white.

Tights? Sweater tights? What color? I wore colored tights a great deal several years ago, but I'm kind of over that. I started feeling it was a little too juvenile, especially when paired with my fit-and-flare body. But it seems like that might be the only option. Subdued navy and burgundy might be acceptable. I have some medium/dark green, too. My preferred winter footwear is boots, though I wear heels sometimes. Boots are black and dark brown riding boots, black Miz Mooz tall boots that lace up the front with medium-height heels, black mid-height and tall boots with molded soles, and the Finds below.
