I have the COH Ambers and Huttons, both in Dark Paris wash. The washes look totally different. The Huttons are made out of Japanese denim and the dark paris wash looks much darker. It's my holy grail wash. But on the Ambers the dark paris wash looks lighter. It's okay, but it's not as dark and deep and seems a little more casual.

I don't think I've seen the other two washes you've listed. If I did, I don't recall. I have been looking for the Ambers in a darker wash. In early spring, they did offer such a wash on revolve - can't remember the name of it. (For some reason I think "ink" was in the name... but I could be misremembering... I remember the reviews said that the wash was blue, but looked nearly black). I do remember they sold out ultra-quickly, before I had a chance to get my own.

Thanks for chiming in despite your dubious connections, Taylor.

Club Monaco, although not premium, is a brilliant fit for gals with slim hips and thighs. Marianne will vouch for this too, I think? I took San there yesterday and she got herself a pair of grey skinnies – KILLER.

Taylor, Diesel denim is one the slimmest fits I’ve seen in the industry. But you need a Diesel store. They have one in SF if you are ever in that neck of the woods. April, try Diesel too.

You have LOTS to work with :0)

April,

Don't order these until you try a pair on...if you can. You really need to try *several different labels* to find the ones that love your body style. What works for one body type does not work for another.

I love the look of 7', however the 2 pair I have bought in the past are too short in the rise....I have never had this problem ever before...I just decided these aren't for my body type...and they don't run as long in the length for me because I wear heels.

I would like to try a pair of Diesel, because Angie say's they work for her, they may work for me, but I haven't seen any?:(
Take your time to try them on...if your going to spend premium dollars...be sure you get the premium fit!!:)

April, I actually like the dark paris wash - I am biased because I have a different COH style in that wash, and I don't think that it's too dressy or less versatile. I think it's heavier denim. Sounds like you're going to explore other brands anyway

I own the COH Elsons in New Pacific. It's a great wash--works for both smart and more casual looks. I have seen the Dark Paris in person, and I think it's nice too, but not as versatile, I think. It seems quite smart to me.

So helpful, ladies -- thank you.

Yes, Angie, I love my R&S high-waisted pinstripe jeans. The size 23s fit great (though their straight legs in the same size were too small to a comic degree -- go figure) and create curves. They are dramatic flares, hemmed for heels, though, and what I need is a more everyday jean.

Lesley -- I did think the Dark Paris had more of a deep gray blue-black tone, thanks for confirming their essential DARKness. NP sounds like what I need.

Anyone else care to chime in before I hold my breath and jump off the bridge of expensive denim? (My R&S jeans came via an amazing sale Tanya discovered, and were a risk-free $23...)

I own the COH Kellys in New Pacific, and I love the wash. I purchased the Dark Paris wash too, but returned it to focus on other summer wardrobe acquisitions. I would consider the Dark Paris wash for Fall/Winter because...well...it's, ummm, really DARK. I think that you'll be happy with the NP wash, and you'll wear them immediately without hesitation. And the wash will look great year round.

I had my Kellys hemmed for flats and sneakers. Maybe I'll get the Ambers next to wear with heels. Hmmmm...

I've seen them all, April!

The New Pacific gets my vote and were you thinking or ordering a size 24? That would be my guess and I hope they aren’t too big. I’ve found that the COH Amber size 25 runs bigger then 7’s, Paige, Marc Jacobs and Diesel (the rest of my denim collection in the same size). I don’t mind that they are a little roomier though and perhaps you’ll like them that way too.

You and Taylor are a similar size and body type and perhaps she’ll chime in with which premium denim jeans brands she wears. I think it might be True Religion? I’d also consider the Rich & Skinny. Very good on a non-curvy body. Those will be my next denim investment when I need new jeans.

Taylor! yoooohooo.

I am finally getting ready to order some COH Amber jeans, and since many of you seem to have them, I have a question about the colors/rinses/washes available. I would like them very dark and with not much distressing or whiskering or fading.

The dark ones seem to be New Pacific :

and Tempest:
http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....5&P=1

Anyone have one of these washes and care to comment? I would like them to be more smart than casual.
