The Bogs for the very worst weather and doing chores (waterproof with a "rating" of -40); insulated hiking boots for snowshoeing or if I'm going to be walking longer distances in the cold; and Blundstones with an alpaca insole for pretty much everything else. Then a tall moto (Frye Veronica) and a lace-up boot (Thursday Captain), but those don't provide insulation and only accommodate mid-weight socks. Traction is not as great either, so they're for spring/fall/indoor wear.&nbsp;</p> <p>I agree that Bogs can feel a little sloppy; I think they're sized to be worn with a thick boot sock, otherwise they fit pretty loose (good for wide feet though!).</p> <p>Added my boot Finds below. I have a consistent colour palette! I have my eye on these fleece-lined Vans sneakers to round out my winter collection. I bought them off the clearance rack last winter at the local LLBean (one of my few brick and mortar options!). LLBean's "Signature" line has done nice wool pants, fully lined, almost every year since it launched. I have a wide-leg pair too. So I'm "working" from the coffee shop today with DS in tow (checked to make sure it was open before heading out!). Here's what I spy on other patrons:</p> <p>Footwear: 2 pairs Bogs (1 black,1 floral), 1 pair LL Bean boots (brown), 2 pairs Sorel pac boots (brown)</p> <p>Outerwear: 1 long puffer (navy), 1 quilted bomber (olive), 2 Gore-Tex shells (navy, olive), 1 softshell (off-white)</p> <p>Tops: 3 crewneck sweaters (grey, blue, leopard!), 1 quarter-zip fleece (grey), 1 flannel (blue/orange/yellow)</p> <p>Bottoms: 4 jeans (3 blue, 1 grey), 1 leggings (black)</p> <p>Bags: 2 backpacks (red, black), 1 leather satchel (dark brown), 1 Le Pliage tote (navy), 1 leather Coach tote (lilac! and yes, it's the same woman who has the leopard sweater)</p> <p>And me? Black Bogs, light-wash jeans, black henley and burgundy plaid wool shirt, berry-coloured Gore-Tex, turquoise nylon tote. Environmental norms, anyone? </p>
