If it is affordable, definitely keep. And I mean affordable by special occasion wear standards where CPW itself is rather high.<br /> I do think it has longevity and is versatile though of course for dressy occasions. With s change of footwear and accessories, you can get a winter holiday party look or a spring formal wedding guest look- such as swapping light metallics vs black. I can count on more wears , too if I'm likely to be with different " crowds"-- my work events vs. DH work vs church weddings vs community fund- raiser ball.<br /> This is where the perfect style and fig make it worthwhile to add to the special occasion capsule which for many people isn't worn a lot. But you don't need a large number of items if the ones you have are ones you can't wait to wear, vs. buying something a lot cheaper but then passing over it and shopping for something new each time. In fact, when you have the right items, you may seek out more fun dressy events to attend.<br /> I hear you on " modesty" too, which to me is not so much whether something is a bit dramatic or revealing, if one has the figure for it and carry that off, but more the confidence of not having wardrobe malfunctions, or crazy special undergarments , or having to worry about the least gain of a pound. When I pulled the dress out of the box I was wowed by the colour and fabric, and it was very lucky that it fits so well. <br />Given my pear shape, often dresses like this are too tight over the hips, this one fits. I do like how the Outnet give garment measurements, because then I knew which size to buy.</p> <p>So I am keeping the dress and can't wait to wear it (yay team wear).
