That said, I'm not super strict about it, and I wouldn't be with a 3/4 length coat like this. Blue and olive go well together so if you are wearing blue jeans with the coat, you're golden. However if you have a lot of colored jeans, then that may present more of a challenge.</p> <p>Overall yes olive is a neutral. If you have an army jacket consider how you wear it. I love olive with navy, cream, white, brown, gold, black, cobalt. I hesitate to wear it with any shade of red including burgundy... it's too close to Christmas theme for me. Gray is also a challenge though taupe works. </p> <p>What color bag would you wear with the coat? That may be even bigger determination. And do you wear a lot of gold instead of silver? I have a short one in grey and have worn it more than I could have imagined. I think you should go with what you love. We just went to the third coast (Gulf Coast) where we wore shorts and sandals everyday. If the color looks good on you, and it's calling your name, I think you should go for the olive.
