Thanks, everyone! I think maybe you are right, that this would have to go in the fantasy-life capsule. I would have to stalk them for a long, long time (to around $100)...and maybe it's just not worth it. One thing that I just realized is that since they are such an open shoe, it will be difficult to use any kind of insole with them. So that will be a big problem, as that's what I always use with any kind of heel that poses difficulty.

Sometimes I wonder if shoe makers do this kind of thing on purpose, make beautiful shoes with really high heels so you get sucked in and buy them but can't wear them. That means that you have to buy another pair that is more wearable...and therefore you have to spend more money!

Ummlila, thank you for giving me your experience with CM shoes. I saw that these were made in Italy, and the Italians generally know how to make a good shoe. :^) I have some Aquatalia boots that were made in Italy, and the construction is very sturdy, and the leather is very soft and flexible, just like you said.

I have a pair of CM white perforated pumps. The leather is very soft, flexible and looks great. They are also very high. I wouldn't say they are under the table shoes, but they are not walk more than a block or two shoes either. I still love them.

Gigi...Those shoes are TDF but in my opinion, they do not look comfortable...There is no padding on the sole of the shoe and the way the foot bed slopes would put a lot of pressure on your toes...This might be one of those you wear in and take off under the table...For the money, I bet you can find some really comfortable, gorgeous shoes...Good luck...

Those are gorgeous. To my eye, though, Gigi, they do not look comfortable. For one thing, the strap looks like it would cut across the top of the foot. For another, the sole is quite thin, so cushioning may be minimal.

Were you looking for sitting shoes? If so, these are really great-looking. But if you have to stand or walk in them, I'm pessimistic. Keep in mind that I have extremely fussy feet, so YMMV...

I am stalking this pair of Club Monaco shoes. I've never bought shoes at CM before. Can anyone give me advice as to quality and comfort of CM shoes? Of course, with a four-inch heel, comfort will be relative. :^)

On a related note, has anyone else noted that the YLF Finds feature makes it easier than ever before to stalk prospective purchases? :^)
