Oh yes, it's totally your fault. I think your daughter and mine must know each other.

I hate when things like this happen, and have been known to go out and replace the easiest item - like the blouse.

I've used the color remover to remove green dye from white shorts. It wasn't the RIT brand--some other brand I found at Walmart. I had to do it two or three times to get the color out and then I bleached the shorts. One thing you might recommend to your daughter is the Tide color catcher. I throw that it in mixed loads if I even think there's a chance something might bleed.

You could try Rit Dye Color Remover: https://www.amazon.com/Rit-Dye.....B00BMLIEOA. I've never used it.

Tell her to do it again in another washer, LOL. She could wash the cream blouse with whites and use a detergent with bleach or bleach substitute (Tide has both). It may need to be done several times. She could soak it in a diluted bleach bath. Do not dry or iron the blouse or use hot water. ( no heat). This may have to be chalked up as learning the hard way. Do not take the blame for this. She needs to learn to sort laundry. Until she does, using your washer can be off limits.

I think that soaking the item in oxygen bleach (not chlorine) in warm water will help. I have also heard that hydrogen peroxide will help. Of course, make sure it is the colour you want it to be before drying.

And while it isn't funny, I had to laugh about it being your fault because it was your washer! I think your DD needs a lesson is separating laundry 101!

I think this has been posted about before but I need to ask. My daughter washed her burgundy velvet pants with her cream blouse. The pants bled onto the blouse. Is there anyway to get it out? Somehow this is my fault because she used my washer.
