That's too bad. As a short person, I know how frustrating it is when things aren't the right length, so I was always glad to see places like LTS because I knew they were helping out people with the opposite problem.

It is sad when favorite stores close, that’s why I make it a point to support small local business....... at least the ones that are left near me. It started with small book stores and dress boutiques. In my area you have the big 3 box stores (Walmart, target, Kohl’s) that pushed everything else out.
I do most of my shopping online because I need talls. It has never been ideal- paying for shipping- coming and going, not being able to handle fabric or view level of quality, fit and sizing issues, etc etc But when it’s the only game you end up playing it.
Hopefully your past relationship with them and their products will permit you to purchase online with fewer draw backs. I hope so.

The letter seems to indicate that all brick and mortar stores outside the UK will be closed. :(

You would think with the few stores they had that they would have been viable. People are willing to drive for things they need, or stop in when they are driving by. sigh.

Oh no! That’s really a bummer. My nearest LTS here in the States is a 3 hour drive; I don’t get there often but am always glad for the opportunity to examine and try things on, when I am there. I hope they stay open.

I got their newest catalog recently and actually thought they are more on trend than usual. These are tough times for retail.

LTS is Long Tall Sally. I just received a letter in the mail stating that LTS is closing their Ottawa store and then closing all of their Canadian stores by spring of 2019.

LTS was my go to for long sleeved tees and dresses. Long sleeved tees from regular stores are always too short in the sleeves for me. Dresses often don't fit, not because of length at the bottom, but rather because of the length of the bodice and where the waist hits. Dresses made for tall people are longer all over, not just in the overall length.

LTS also had shoes and boots in larger sizes. Yes, there is online shopping, but you can't try things on.

LTS will still be available online; I will miss the stores.
