Jewell, the latest upgrade of stylebook lets you clone an outfit. So you can now clone and then change one or two items. Yay, I pave been waiting for this! Also, I created a category for "culled" items from my wardrobe, and move old pieces to that. That gets round the cpw issue and retains outfits using pieces that are no longer on my wardrobe.

LBD - I use stylitics most days to track what I wear for a few reasons:
1. Because I am a nerd and love stats like # of wears, CPW, and what months you wear an item. CPW has limited importance, but it is nice to know that some bigger ticket items (like my leather bags) get a TON of wear
2. Because I was a teenager in the early 00s and loved Cher's virtual closet in the movie "Clueless"; plus I'd rather drag and drop outfits together when deciding what to wear than make a mess in my closet
3. It lets you choose a "cover" image for outfits, so you can see the whole thing and it's parts
4. It's a nice repository for inspiration from your own closet - for example, pieces you've previously worn to certain occasions
5. It's kind of fun to look at what other people have in their closets and how they wear it together

I've used Stylebook for over a year. Features I've used include Closet, Looks, Inspiration, Calendar, Style Stats, and Style Expert (great articles & tips).

Pros:
-easy to add items to closet (super easy when you can find stock photos on the web)
-items are grouped into categories and you can add notes about each item such as cost, size, care instructions, etc
-you can easily build and save looks; entire looks can be easily added to your calendar when you wear them
-calendar feature allows you to see a month of outfits and tracks CPW for you
-Style Stats are fun for the number crunchers out there. It includes an item count, total closet value, top 25 least and most worn items, and more.

Cons:
-time consuming to build your closet (in the beginning) especially if you have to photograph many of your items
-items cannot be deleted if used in looks without deleting the whole look which deletes the outfit from your calendar and changes the CPW calculation (This is a problem I'm currently running into as I make updates from my recent cull.)
-I wish there were a way to edit an existing look and save it as a new outfit without replacing the original. I find it frustrating to have to rebuild a whole outfit from scratch when all I've changed is the shirt or shoes I wore with it.

I've attached two pics of looks I created with the Stylebook app. Both looks include a combination of items that I added using stock photos as well as items I photographed myself using my Iphone.

LBD- At times I've used it pretty regularly for outfit planning, but I still find it best to try the planned outfits out before I need to wear them. I preplanned all of my outfits for the Picture Perfect Challenge this way. I recently used the outfit planning feature to decide whether or not to buy a sweater I was considering. I wanted to see how many potential outfits I could make around the sweater before committing to buying it.

Maybe this should be a separate thread - but I am curious to know if anyone uses this or other wardrobe/style software on a regular basis (i.e. 4-5 days a week) - and for what specific purpose: wardrobe curation? shopping? outfit planning? and if used for outfit planning, do you find your outfits work in real-life 'execution'?

LBD, I can say that photo cataloging your wardrobe will certainly wake you up to have much you have! Did that about 3 years ago before a move. Ouch. Now I take any and every screen shot of an online pic of new items!
(I started using Closet Couture, but it was kind of a hassle. I now have my first device that's not a laptop (Kindle) so maybe I can explore the world of apps. I'm such a newbie I've only used ebay app and YLF lol)

I have Cloth and used to use it, but I didn't find it that much more useful than just taking pictures of my outfits with the builtin camera app.

I also own Stylebook and am in the process of taking pictures of all my items so that I can fill out my 'closet'. It's a bit time consuming but I can imagine it being really useful once I get it all set up.

Caro- stylebook is one of the apps I downloaded. I haven't spent the time to really get it set up yet. I'm hoping to get enough feedback here so that I can narrow down the apps and only spend time setting up on. This is like my search for the perfect budget/ banking app, I think I'll have to settle, but at least it should do must of what I want.

I use Cloth on my iPad. I like it because I can view thumbnails of my various outfits, which has helped me to see what colors and looks I tend to gravitate towards, and well as looks that, upon later reflection, weren't doing me any favors!

I'm realizing that I need to get a better handle on what I own. So I have been looking a various closet/ wardrobe apps. I've downloaded a few, but can't see to find one a like. I'm looking for something that's easy to set up, and maintain, ideally I'd like to be able to access on my phone, iPad or computer. So, I'm hoping that you wonderful fabbers can chime in, which apps have you tried, what were the pro's and con's?
