Nicole, I should have mentioned your other expressive photos. I hope you and the photographer had a stiff drink after you finished. Your pictures were a treat!

For some reason, I pictured you hanging all your dresses on actual crystal glass hangers, Angie. I thought if I did that, I would probably just break them.

I have all clear plastic hangers in my closet, the kind with the swivel heads. They're great because if I want to rearrange stuff, I don't have to rehang everything so it's facing the same way. Plus, they don't get tangled up and the clothes hold their shape better on them. Sarah was just telling me Home Depot has cedar wood hangers that are really inexpensive. I can't remember how many--8 for $10 I think?

Glad you got non-wire hangers, Nicole. Glass hangers are made of clear plastic. They look pretty in a closet. They are not expensive.

Wow...I am impressed and honored with everyone's effort. I honestly wasn't expecting line by line suggestions that some of you crazy people did for me. I am flattered. I have decided to get rid of anything I was not comfortable in. Not just physical comfort, but emotional comfort as well. Sometimes you just don't feel good in something. So I tried to let that help guide me, along with everyone's excellent input.

Joy I'm glad you enjoyed my expression in the belted cardi look. That is truly how I feel in a belt. Absolutely HORRID. But hey, how about my enthusiastic thumbs up in the last photo?? Or the gun to my head, which was taken about 2 hours into it.

OH....Angie, you'll be happy to know that I also bought some non-wire hangers today. I got those velvet ones. I hope they pass muster with you. You never did tell me about your glass hangers.

Nicole, I looked at all your photos of your pants and skirts and took lots of notes, then had to leave and now can't find them. Basically i really liked skirts on you.
What an effort you have made!
I just looked at all your tops and made notes, then read Tanya's post. My thoughts and comments were nearly the same as her's so I won't repeat everything. The slight exceptions were:

18. Black Tahari w/white stripe: It's not bad but I thought it was too short.
23. Grey Gap sweater: Again it's OK. In the photo it looked a bit too big. My suggestion would be to wear it over something like a buttondown shirt.
35 & 36: BR apple green and yellow knit tops: I liked the color and fit but not the cap sleeve on you. Suggest wearing as a layering piece.
41 & 42: Long cardies: I think you can wear these, but there was something just a bit off. Maybe they are a bit too long, especially the grey one. Dare I mention a belt? I'd keep playing with the look.

For anyone who has not looked at Nicole's photos, it's worth it for the expression on her face on #25!

46.	Teal cowl – GREAT.

For tops: elbow length sleeves or sleeveless is best. Long sleeved is also good. Cap sleeves are not my preference. Wraps are brilliant. Longer tops are much more flattering on you – the shorter tops are less so. Hope that helps. Now I need a stiff drink.

Thanks Patience and Violet.

I am shocked at how much I got rid of, but how liberating it feels. Especially the tops. I have more than filled a large laundry basket. I realize I was holding on to pieces of my past, and for all the wrong reasons.

Hopefully I can build on what I have now. I suppose this is the sweep I should have done when I first started following YLF.

I'm answering without looking at everyone else's. I'm going to keep it simple.

Best first: graphic tee and jacket-- KILLER-- yes yes yes!

I really like the sleeveless wraps, sleeveless teal cowl, white summery blouse, Esprit blouse, black cropped cardi 1, red gap sweater, and the BELT!

The following are good-- orange tee, purple ruched tee, blue BR, brown Gap sweater, black cardi. The brown and pink cardi looks great on you but it's kind of a sporty look. The target print shirt is good, not old lady at all. Making these look great is probably a matter of finishing the outfit.

Things I would keep until they can be replaced-- two in one knit, polka dot cardis, white turtleneck, summery yellow and green knits, brown knit polo,

Hi Nicole,

Kudos to you for doing such an extensive closet sweep. Here is my feedback:

1. Burnt orange tee: Nice color and fit. Keep.

2. Black Tahari Polo: Keep

3. B&W polkadot Cardi: Keep

4. B&W Esprit Blouse: Keep

5. Grey Cotton Cardigan/Shirt thing: Keep

6. Spruce Green Faux Wrap: I think a brighter color would look better and it looks a bit big around the waist.

7. Black knit w/satin detail: Not crazy about this one. I think you have some other black shirts that are more flattering.

8. Light Brown Scoop Tee: good basic. keep.

9. Two in One Knit: Keep

10. Purple Ruched Tee: Keep

11. Black Textured Tunic: Not crazy about the fit. Toss.

12. Brown Cotton V Neck: Keep. Good basic.

13. shimmery Knit: keep

14. ATL Knit Shirt (layering piece): good for layering

15. White Summer Blouse: Keep

16. Black Cropped Cardi 1: Keep

17. White Cardi (too small??): Yes, looks a bit small.

18. black Tahari w/White Stripe: Keep

19. GreyFine Guage Sweater: keep

20. Brown & Pink Zip Cardi: Keep.

21. Brown Gap Sweater: Keep

22. Grey Gap Sweater (snuggly warm): Keep

23. Green Knit Sweater: keep

24. Coral SS Cardi (too small?): Nice color, but it does look a bit small.

25. Green Polkadot Cardi: Keep

26. Blue BR Sweater: Keep

27. Old Red Sweater: Nice color, but not the best fit. Toss.

28. Cream T Neck Sweater: Not the best fit. I would toss.

29. Lt. Blue BR Cardi: Keep.

30. Red (snuggly) Gap Sweater: Keep. You look great in red.

31. Black Cardi 2: Keep.

31. Pale Green Sweater: Not crazy about the color. Looks like it might be a bit too pale

32. apple green BR summer sweater: Nice color, but I think the fit could be better.

33. bright yellow br summer sweater: Nice color, but I think the fit could be better.

34. Brown Knit Polo: I like this, but not crazy about it.

35. Another Graphic Tee: Love this look with the jacket!

36. Target Print (keep?): Keep

37. Sleevless Layering Cowl: Keep

38. Brown Long Cardi: Looks comfy but not sure if it is a killer item. Maybe keep for lounge wear.

39. Grey Long Cardi: Looks comfy, but might be a bit too long.

40. Sleeveless Wrap 1: Fit is good, but not crazy about the print

41. Sleeveless Wrap 2.: Fit is good. I like the print better on this one.

42. Silky Shirt w/Lace Collar: Good for skirts. Keep

43. Teal Sleeveless Cowl: Great color. Keep.

thank you so much ladies who have responded thus far. I really really appreciate the help, because I know it's overwhelming commenting on this many pieces.

Inge, the purple ruched tee is from Old Navy, but several seasons ago. I am not a huge fan of purple, but I really like this shade. The lace collared shirt is not a tee shirt. It's a very stretchy, fairly dressy material. I used to wear this shirt with the black and white floral skirt that I posted in the first round--but am getting rid of. I definitely need a printed skirt or a more colorful skirt to wear with it now.

Tanya, you picked out those sleeveless BR wrap shirts for me, remember? I actually have 2 BR ones, and the black and tan print one is from NY&Co. I only photoed one of the BR ones because they are the same except for color/pattern.

Ok, I'm back.

1. Burnt orange tee: lovely colour on you and I like the bow detail.
2. Black Tahari polo: good for casual wear (love the green necklace).
3. LOVE that polkadot cardi, the red cami underneath is an unexpected touch (at least I wouldn't have thought of that;-), and looks great.
4. B&W Esprit blouse. I'm not a big fan of this, can't really say why, because I like the print and the sleeves.
5. Grey cardigan: good colour but I think I'd like it to be a tad more fitted in the waist.
6. Spruce green faux wrap. I absolutely adore this colour on you and you look marvellous in wrap tops, but this also looks a little too big. (are you still losing weight!-)
7. Black knit with satin detail: not sure about this one. The satin detail is nice. Would it work better with a skirt?
8. Light brown scoop tee: keep.
9. Two in one knit: I didn't realised it was a two in one until I read your comment. I like it and the V-neck really suits you.
10. Purple ruched tee: nice colour again. Where did you get this Nicole? I'd love to find some elbow-length and 3/4 sleeve tops for warmer weather.
11. Black textured tunic. I don't like mock turtlenecks, so I'm biased here. Plus it looks a bit boxy.
12. Brown cotton V-neck. Keep.
13. Shimmery knit. Fits you great. Because of the shimmering, I think this would be a fun Summer look paired with white jeans;-)
14. ATL knit shirt. I'd only keep this for layering purposes, the pattern would be cute peeping out from under a cardi or a V-neck top.
15. White Summer blouse. Not so fond of this. We've all seen how stunning you look in a fitted white shirt, this pales a bit in comparison.
16. Black cropped cardi. I like the idea of it, but is it pulling a bit? (I can't see very well in the picture).
17. White cardi. I think it is just a tad on the small side Nicole. There's some pulling going on.
18. Black Tahari with white stripe. This has a sporty look to it, I'd only wear it on very casual occasions.
19. Grey fine gauge sweater. Love it!
20/21. Brown & pink zip cardi: it's not really my cup of tea, but I can imagine it's a great item to have for lounging. (I like the upright collar though).
22. Brown gap sweater: keep. (you were getting a little tired there, weren't you?-)
23. Grey Gap sweater: it does look snuggly warm, I'd like it better if it were a bit more fitted in the waist.
24. Green knit sweater. Wonderful colour, it seems to fit you well (a bit hard to tell because of the way you're standing).
25. The belt outfit. You're too funny Nicole;-)) I like it! (nice cardi too). But I'm by no means a belt expert, in fact, Angie encouraged me to post my own belt thread, which I'll be doing soon.
26. Coral cardi. Lovely! It doesn't look too small to me.
27. Green polkadot cardi. Smiling again, I do like polkadots!-) Great warmer weather item too.
28. Blue BR sweater. Fab colour, but I think it's more of a skirt-length sweater?
29. Old red sweater. I would toss this, it looks too loose on you. (do get another red sweater though!)
30. Cream T-neck sweater. Looks a bit bulky, like there's too much material in the sleeves.
31. Light blue BR cardi: a fun Summer colour. Is it a swing-style cardigan Nicole?
32. Red Gap sweater: aha, you already have another red sweater;-) Keep!
33. And a black cardi as well. I say keep this one and toss 16.
34. Pale green sweater. Fits well. I like the colour but you look a little pale. Maybe from exhaustion?-)
35. Apple green BR sweater. I think it would look better if the sleeves were a bit longer.
36. Bright yellow BR sweater. I like the yellow but same remark as 35.
37. Brown knit polo. See, I like these sleeves better. Polos are somewhat more casual I think, but sometimes I love how they look paired with an A-line skirt.
38. Another graphic tee. And a cute one to boot! Super with that jacket!
39. Target print. I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. The wrap aspect is very flattering though.
40. Sleeveless layering cowl. Cowlnecks are fantastic for layering, so keep.
41. Brown long cardi. I don't want to take away your travel sweater Nicole, but I'm not a fan of this. Cute graphic tee!
42. See 41.
43. Sleeveless wrap 1. I loved this wrap when you first bought it, and I still do.
44. Sleeveless wrap 2. You're priceless;-) Super top again. And I prefer this colour over 42, but then again, purple is one of my favourite colours.
45. Silky shirt with lace collar. I can't see the lace detail in the pic, but it's a nice tee. How do you wear it?-)
46. Teal sleeveless cowl. It's a cowlneck, it's teal, you look great in it... keep!

You did an amazing job Nicole!! And you'll have a wardrobe full of perfect fitting clothes to show for it. Enjoy!!

As far as suggestions are concerned: you look absolutely stunning in wrap tops, so I'd definitely get some more of those.
You also seem to have quite a lot of dark-coloured (brown, black) and neutral (beige, cream) tops, and they look great, but you also look SO good in brighter and more cheerful colours (green, purple, red, blue, yellow...). I'd definitely stock up on those too.
And I'd encourage you to give scarfs another try as well. Some plain and patterned Summer-weight scarfs in fun colours will add a funky touch to your outfits. (just wrap them around your neck once and let the ends hang down, this looks great with both V-necks and scoopnecks).
And of course a few colourful necklaces always come in handy too.

OMG, Nicole, what a Herculean effort! I missed Part I (boy, this board moved so fast, you miss one day and can't catch up) but I'm going to look at both later today or tonight because seeing looks on you always gives me so many ideas for myself. I'll comment too - even if I am being redundant..

It’s great that you’re being so thorough! I’ll have to start doing this too in a bit… And I just wanted to add that I love the colour of your wall!

Ok then, piece by piece:

1. Burnt orange tee – nice colour on you. Keep.
2. Black Tahari Polo - keep.
3. B&W polka dot Cardi – love it. Keep.
4. B&W Esprit Blouse – adorable and looks great. Keep.
5. Grey Cotton Cardigan/Shirt thing – The sleeves seem a bit too short and the fit is not great. Toss.
6. Spruce Green Faux Wrap – Nice, keep.
7. Black knit w/satin detail – Something seems a bit off. Toss.
8. Light Brown Scoop Tee – It fits ok, even i fits not the best colour. Keep.
9. Two in One Knit – To me, the double edges make both the sleeves and the length of the shirt appear shorter and boxier than you are, so it doesn’t seem to be very flattering. Toss.
10. Purple Ruched Tee – Keep.
11. Black Textured Tunic – Looks like it might be a comfy lounge-piece. Otherwise it’s not the most flattering, so either lounge or toss.
12. Brown Cotton V Neck – Good basic. Keep.
13. shimmery Knit – What fabric is this exactly?. It fits well and the colour is nice on you, so keep.
14. ATL Knit Shirt (layering piece) – keep.
15. White Summer Blouse – Very nice. Keep.
16. Black Cropped Cardi 1 – Very flattering, keep.
17. White Cardi (too small??) – Where does it seem too small for you? If you don’t feel comfortable, I would try to get a replacement, because the white looks good on you and is versatile.
18. black Tahari w/White Stripe – Another fine basic. Keep.
19. GreyFine Guage Sweater – Cute, like the colour. Keep.
20/21. Brown & Pink Zip Cardi – I like the details. Keep.
22. Brown Gap Sweater – Another good basic. Keep.
23. Grey Gap Sweater (snuggly warm)- Looks very cosy and warm. Keep.
24. Green Knit Sweater – Nice colour, good fit. Keep.
25. A FREAKING belt--happy??? –Hahaha, this totally cracked me up. But the belt looks fantastic!
26. Coral SS Cardi (too small?) – Nice colour. Where/how do you feel it’s too small? If uncomfortable, try to find a replacement. If you weren’t sure about the size: it doesn’t look too small too me :)
27. Green Polkadot Cardi –Love it. Keep.
28. Blue BR Sweater – Fantastic colour, good fit. Keep.
29. Old Red Sweater – Don’t like the fit, but the colour looks nice on you. Toss.
30. Cream T Neck Sweater – Seems too big. Toss.
31. Lt. Blue BR Cardi – It’s cute, but I’m on the fence about the size.
32. Red (snuggly) Gap Sweater – Red looks super on you!. Keep.
33. Black Cardi 2 – Very nice. Keep.
34. Pale Green Sweater – I’m not sure I prefer this colour, but it looks ok. Keep.
35. apple green BR summer sweater – Love the colour, not sure about the fit. Might be the picture though. Keep.
36. bright yellow br summer sweater –I think it’s a bit too small around the shoulders, and combined with the cap sleeves makes it not the best fit for you. Toss.
37. Brown Knit Polo – Looks great! Keep.
38. Another Graphic Tee – Very nice! The jacker Works too.
39. Target Print (keep?) Nice! (But I adore white & black prints in general). Looks very flattering. Keep.
40. Sleevless Layering Cowl – Nice, keep.
41. Brown Long Cardi – Seems very comfy. Keep.
42. Grey Long Cardi – The finer fabric is a bit nicer than the Brown cardi. How much are you against belts? I love a long belted cardi.
43. Sleeveless Wrap 1 – I don’t prefer these kind of prints but that’s personal. The fit is very good. Wraps in general seem to work well for you!
44. Sleeveless Wrap 2. – Nice, I like the colour. Keep.
45. Silky Shirt w/Lace Collar – As a skirt shirt it’s fine. Keep.
46. Teal Sleeveless Cowl – Love it! Great colour, good for layering. Keep.

And that’s that!

For suggestions: I only saw a few blouses, like the nr. 4 esprit Blouse, yet I think those are very flattering on you, and they could be great layering pieces. Furthermore, I think adding an extra layer of interest would be very nice with the pieces you already have (yes, like belts :).
And maybe some nice short-sleeved shirts?

Wow, what an effort Nicole! This time I'll go first to make up for being the last ob your previous post:

1. Burnt orange tee - flattering color, nice fit - keep.

2. Black Tahari Polo - like the fit, keep.

3. B&W polka dot Cardi - very cute, keep.

4. B&W Esprit Blouse - very flattering on you, keep.

5. Grey Cotton Cardigan/Shirt thing - looks kind of boxy, I vote toss.

6. Spruce Green Faux Wrap - very flattering on you, keep. I really like this cut of top for you, would look for more in it.

7. Black knit w/satin detail - not a fan of those patch pocket- like details, and it looks a bit short. Good for layering under cardis, but not a big fan of it on it's own.

8. Light Brown Scoop Tee - OK, although the color seems to wash you out a bit (or you are just tired from taking all these photos). Good as a layering piece.

9. Two in One Knit - not quite sure about this, I like the shape, but don't know about the color.

10. Purple Ruched Tee - very flattering, keep.

11. Black Textured Tunic - kind of boxy and the neck is too high, I would toss it.

12. Brown Cotton V Neck - I like it, good for layering.

13. shimmery Knit - great shape, not so sure about the shimmer, but if you like it, I'd keep it.

14. ATL Knit Shirt (layering piece) - as you say, very nice for layering.

15. White Summer Blouse - pretty, keep.

16. Black Cropped Cardi 1 - I like it on you, keep.

17. White Cardi (too small??) - like this one too, I do not think it is too small if you wear it like on the photo, with top and bottom buttons unbuttoned

18. black Tahari w/White Stripe - cute, keep.

19. GreyFine Guage Sweater - nice, keep.

20. & 21. Brown & Pink Zip Cardi - interesting shape, fits well,keep.

22. Brown Gap Sweater - good basic.

23. Grey Gap Sweater (snuggly warm)- another nice basic, mus be very sunggly indeed, you appear to be asleep ;)

24. Green Knit Sweater - love the color on you, keep.

25. A FREAKING belt--happy??? - LOVE the belted cardi.. Yep, I am happy. And your expression is priceless :)

26. Coral SS Cardi (too small?) - yet another gorgeous color for you. Nope, not to small, it is just cropped.

27. Green Polkadot Cardi - very, very cute; keep.

28. Blue BR Sweater - love you in this color too, keep.

29. Old Red Sweater - looks boxy, I'd say toss.

30. Cream T Neck Sweater - do not like it on it's own, might work layered.

31. Lt. Blue BR Cardi - lovely color, keep.

32. Red (snuggly) Gap Sweater - another great basic and pretty color on you.

33. Black Cardi 2 - like this one too.

34. Pale Green Sweater - lovely, keep.

35. apple green BR summer sweater - nice, keep.

36. bright yellow br summer sweater - I tend to agree with you, something about it bothers me.

37. Brown Knit Polo - fits you very, very well.

38. Another Graphic Tee - great tee, I adore the whole look with the jacket, nicely done.

39. Target Print (keep?) - I like the print and the cut is very flattering. Would add a pop of red somewhere.

40. Sleevless Layering Cowl - great as a layering piece.

41. Brown Long Cardi - not a big fan of this one, although I can imagine it's quite cozy. I would personally delegate it to lounge wear.

42. Grey Long Cardi - same as #41. Belting it might help, over skinnies.

43. Sleeveless Wrap 1 - love, love, love! Keep and look for more like it.

44. Sleeveless Wrap 2. - same as #42. This is THE cut of knitted top for you in my opinion.

45. Silky Shirt w/Lace Collar - nice fit. He, he, I was thinking ' this is for skirts only' before i saw that you wrote that too :)

46. Teal Sleeveless Cowl - fits you great, keep.

I can not beleive I am done! Your photographer deserves a special treat.

A final note: you have a lot of simple, but well fitting v-necks in lovely colors. I would try to jazz them up when wearing the, with scarves, necklaces, or interesting color combos with camis underneath.

Off to sleep now ...

OMG...What a chore! I'm sorry there are so many pictures. I wanted to get just about everything on there. I kept a white cami on for most of the pictures, so some tops would obviously look better with different colored camis. Again, suggestions on what to get rid of, what my gaps are. I didn't post the few collared shirts that you have already seen (the Bratique, the 2 Nine Wests).

This link will show 20 photos per page. If you want to see the photos one at a time, you can either click on the photo and scroll thru by using the smaller photos on the top right, or you can click on the word Grid or Slideshow. I've posted a few comments along with the descriptions.

Thanks, and again, I'm sorry for the size of this project.
