Congratulations on your purge! https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/closet-purge-sort-of#post-897086 Wed, 03 Apr 2013 09:37:25 +0000 Mander 897086@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ Yesterday I got a wild hair, as my grandpa would say, to purge my closet of a few things.&nbsp; In the process I decided to drag out my two big suitcases full of summer clothes and things that are too small.&nbsp; <br /><br />Ideally I would just get rid of everything that doesn't fit but I can't bring myself to do that yet.&nbsp; However, I did put several things on the donate pile.&nbsp; I sorted what was left by size and put everything that is just a little bit too small into one easily-accessible place.&nbsp; I have also resolved to toss some of my old summer standbys after this year.<br /><br />This was in part prompted by <a rel="nofollow"></a><a href="http://www.puttingmetogether.com/2013/02/wardrobe-from-scratch-part-4-starter.html">the "starter kit" shopping list at Putting Me Together</a>.&nbsp; In comparing the suggestions to what I have in my closet, I realized that although it is stuffed full I don't actually have very much versatility -- I mostly have things that I can wear with jeans, and at the moment, I only have two pairs of jeans that fit well.&nbsp; There were many things in the closet that could work with minor alterations, but right now they are really just in the way.<br /><br />So, now I'm going to try a little "SYC" with this shopping list, and see if I can find things in the closet to fill the gaps.&nbsp; And I'd better get busy with my alterations!<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />
