Shiny- fabulous idea to put a button down under it-- I love the way you did it in your outfit. Now, if I only *owned* a button down..... I do have 1 turtleneck, but it's a cranberry color, so I don't think I'd put those together. I'm definitley going to keep my eye out for a button down to try under that. I can see how that would really give some structure to the unstructured lines of the sweater.

Joy, I think you might be right about the skirt length. And, I liked it better with the bare leg- I tried brown tights and it just didn't look right for some reason.

Have you thought of trying this over a long sleeve top? I'm thinking of one of my own favorite combos, with similar style sweater:

http://s386.photobucket.com/al.....mar_21.jpg

The neckline of mine is different than yours, but I still think it would work, because I have a gray sweater with similar neckline (but different sleeves) and it works great with a classic button down underneath. So you could also do a classic button down. How about a turtleneck, if you wear those?

The vibe of the sweater is casual to me, because it's soft, cozy, sweet, relaxed. Whereas the neon color is eclectic and bold! I wish I had the guts to pull off that color. You totally rock it.

I love angora, but the ultimately the fibers end up getting into my contacts.

Queenie, I like the cardi with the leopard print and would not shorten the skirt. To my eye it looks proportional with the boots you are wearing. If you shorten it, you may want to wear tights.

thanks ladies for your input. Now, if you'll indulge my rambling....

Ana, this has become a closet orphan because it just seemed to have too dressy of a feel to it for every day wear-- it's angora. Also, I see now that it isn't the best sleeve for me which is probably what was keeping me from wearing it more (although i don't think I knew that's what the problem was). I did wear it last Valentines day with jeans and a black cami- so I guess I lied when I said I hadn't worn it since Christmas. But after that, I never had an inspiration for how to wear it. I put it with the leopard print for the very reason that I thought it would give it a more casual vibe- which I *think* I accomplished. RoseandJoan, I do see what you're saying about possibly too much going on. Perhaps I"ll try that combo with jeans, which would take away the skirt/leg/boot factor and maybe that will work better-- although, I will say that I might do it with the skirt again because it isnt' bothering me THAT much.

I did try it with my black sheath, that long chainy necklace, and scrunchy black boots the other morning, and really liked it-- but ended up going with the denim skirt and and lepoard print instead. I"ll definitely do the black dress some day and post a pic.

Ana, you are so wonderfully observant-- I love the way you see exactly what the problem is... it's your math mind Like I said, I agree about the sleeves, but I own it now and feel that I need to get a little bit of wear out of it before I toss it. I'm hoping that styling it the right way will let me get away with the less than perfect sleeve issue. Hmmm, interesting observation about my style preferance. I LOVE the rock and roll element, but feel very unsure of how to pull it off on myself. When I shop, I usually end up with lots of classic, tailored, dressy, and colors in the dressing room. I am fighting hard aganst that-- not because it is bad, but because I feel that I always end up with an overly dressy wardrobe for my lifestyle. So, yes, i'd love to incorporate a tad of rocker, or eclectic, without losing my integrity

Sorry for the ramble, and if you've read this far.... I'm thinking I need to shorten the skirt an inch or 2-- agree? disagree?

It's just a personal preference, but the first picture has one too many things grabbing my attention, I love leopard print but in this instance would switch it for an ink blue tank/cami. I love the skirt with the ankle boots!

Hi Queenie! Why do you think this item has become an orphan?

I actually like the combination of hot pink and cheetah print on you and I like the trapeze style of this cardi on you as well. I'm on the fence about whether the sleeves and shoulder line are working. This is just my personal opinion, but I don't think there is enough structure in the shoulders, and I think if the sleeves were a bit longer it would be more flattering. From what I've seen that you are drawn to, I think you naturally have a rock and roll element to your style, but maybe you're having difficulty interweaving that into something that you feel is comfortable and appropriate for a SAHM?

It's very pretty. I can see it over a LBD for the holidays.
As you are wearing it in the pictures, I like it best with the blue top and all of the various shoes and necklaces look good to me.

I bought this pink cropped sweater last year to wear over a black dress for a Christmas party, but havn't worn it since. The other day, I tried this.... what do you guys think? Any other ideas on how to wear it?

I just threw it on again quickly for the pic, so everything might not be laying "just so"
http://www.flickr.com/photos/4.....032467785/

here I've tried it with a brighter color top, black skinnies, 2 diffrerent shoes, and 2 different necklaces. These pics are a bit blurry, but I think you can get the idea. I must have been standing back further or something.
