I do all my shopping in late winter/early spring and normally end up with a bunch of clothes that are too heavy for 30C and 90% humidity! </p> <p>I packed up all my winter stuff and put it away so<br /> I can see what's left more clearly. I suspect that many people have between 100 and 200 pieces of clothing as those seem to be popular numbers. I think I fit in there too. Spring/Fall things I'm wearing now, like jeans, will not work in the heat. I'm still trying to figure out how much is needed to be ready for various social situations and for everyday. The 4-6 season climate means a large closet is a necessity.<br /> For hot weather casual and smart casual, I have 12 bottoms, 8 toppers including vests, and 8 pairs of summer shoes. I have 22 tops plus about 8 cotton tanks. It is usually too hot and humid for cotton tees, but linen and silk oversized boxy ones are not too bad. Our summers do not get much cooler at night than daytime. This is for at least 4 months. I hope that I have enough variety but would like to add some culottes. That includes 6 pants, 5 skirts, 6 shorts, 42 tops, 10 dresses and 12 toppers.</p> <p>Cold Weather- 28 items. That includes 3 coats, 1 dress, 1 skirt, 15 tops, 6 pants and 2 cardigans. </p> <p>So 109 items + 25 shoes, not including undergarments, swimwear or loungewear. It's a lot less than I thought was there!</p> <p>There are a few filler shirts in there that I never wear that I'll likely switch out at the end of the season and I still have one or two items I'd like to add (suede thigh high boots!). I think this is a good manageable amount for me. </p> <p>Anyone want to count and share? </p>
