I was #4 of 18 having cataract surgery at this facility yesterday. Caution to those whose eyes water in bright lights. That makes this procedure extra difficult because you can't blink while you are to focus on the bright lights. I have also known many who had or need shoulder surgery. I have learned that it goes best when done while you are younger rather than waiting. Like the Season, I hope it goes well. I am grateful to the scheduler who got me in early so that I would not miss 2 meals and go into a diabetic coma. It still surprises me a lot to find out that doctor's know nothing about the needs of diabetic patients. There are and will be millions of us. I have enjoyed reading the posts so much.<br /> A couple of thoughts: my temporary keep pile is mostly things that I plan to wear one more season before getting rid of.<br /> I have a secret additional category for Take to the Nursing Home. This is because so many older friends and family have to do this so quickly due to a fall or unexpected illness. Giving it some thought makes me feel like I can have some control. Items must be able to take hot industrial washers and dryers and not fade badly. They must make getting dressed super easy, and be Depends friendly. It started with a simple polyester woven top and elastic waist pants that fit while I was at different sizes. I was ready to toss the outfit when I realized it would be perfect for nursing home wear. So it is still with me but not something I am wearing. I want to do this while I can still see enough to read before eye surgery on Monday morning. I had hoped to get a good start in the closet this weekend but doing lots with grandkids while their mother is in Rome for work.<br /> For the Closet Edit Challenge, I have found at least one plaid shirt that needs to go, maybe all 3 of them. I think I am over plaid shirts. Plaid jeans and scarves still make me happy though. Now to figure out if it is really the plaid or the button-down that I am done with. </p>
