It sounds like good reasoning for all of your edits. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/closet-edit-ch1--winter-sweaters-and-pants#post-1966870 Fri, 19 Oct 2018 22:44:20 +0000 Elizabeth P 1966870@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p><div>So today I brought my bins of winter sweaters out from their summer home, went through them, and packed summer sweaters away.</div><div><br /></div><div>Usually I do this in as short as time as possible, but this year, inspired by the editing challenges, I decided to take more time and do some evaluating along the way.&nbsp; The result?&nbsp; 13 items to go: 9 sweaters and 4 pairs of pants.&nbsp; This is nowhere near as impressive as the edits some of you have done, but it's good for me, esp for the first run through.&nbsp; A few of the sweaters were ones I knew I was going to get rid of when the season was right (I like to pass things on when they are in season, to maximize their chances of finding a home).&nbsp; But several of them were actual choices and decisions.</div><div><br /></div><div>The why's:<br /></div><div>I had three turquoise sweaters.&nbsp; I don't wear any of them very often, as they are possibly a bit too classic for my style.&nbsp; But I am going to pass one of them on... keeping one that is for spring, and a cashmere one that is definite winter (this one will go if not worn this year, but it works soooo well with my turquoise booties that I'm giving it a chance).&nbsp; Passing on one that is merino wool, but 3/4 sleeved, so never seemed to be quite right for the season.&nbsp; Plus the neckline wasn't the best.&nbsp; Very proud of my self for this one :)<br /></div><div><br /></div><div>I don't wear heavy, chunky knits.&nbsp; At least, not to work.&nbsp; Several pieces that are going are just too much for a well climate controlled office.&nbsp; And too dressy for the house.</div><div><br /></div><div>Short sleeved sweater dress:&nbsp; The short sleeves on this made it hard to wear... plus it's on the short side.&nbsp; 'nuff said.</div><div><br /></div><div>Two pairs of dress pants that are just plain... boring.&nbsp; Totally classic leg cut, and I have plenty of others, which I reach for.&nbsp; <br /></div><div><br /></div><div>Dressy, short sleeved lacy knit sweater.&nbsp; Hard to style, with the short sleeves, but more wintery yarn.&nbsp; I have a similar long sleeved one by EF that I'll choose over this one, every time.&nbsp; <br /></div><div><br /></div><div>A good start!<br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div> </p>
