I'm constantly editing. I keep a laundry hamper in my closet to store items I don't want anymore. Most of this list were edited in the last few weeks and not all at once. I try something on and it doesn't fit - into the hamper it goes. Or I try styling on multiple occasions and finally just give up and toss it. When the hamper gets full (DH and my kids put stuff in there too), I go through everything and bag it up.

I love how you’ve given reasons for all of these, and I agree with some of the observations you’ve made (the ones that are apparent from the photo). Good work! You’re inspiring me!

Wow, that’s a lot for a quick edit. And it’s great that you know why for each item.

Good luck at the swap.

This was just a quick edit I did to have a few items to take to the neighborhood clothing exchange. I'll do a more in-depth edit when I do my seasonal switch. (BTW - I didn't take anything worn out - only the stuff in good condition).

#1 - Cute sandals but I have lots of cute sandals and these languished.
#2 - Too short and girly
#3 - I got this skirt from the clothing exchange last year. I could never figure out a way to style it that got away from the Catholic school girl vibe.
#4 - Had for years and I don't wear much anymore. The marled pattern always caused me problems when styling. Too maximal with patterns.
#5 - Thrifted but now I think it's a bit dated.
#6 - Thrifted - there are gold threads in the sweater but the color still washes me out.
#7 - Too snug
#8 - Love the color but I just don't use it enough. Too big for date night, too small for regular use.
#9 - Black shorts with tuxedo stripe. Too snug and I never quite figured out what situation I would wear these. Fantasy lifestyle fail.
#10 - The fabric is a bit stiff and always looks bulky. I'd like something similar in a better fabric.
#11 - Gift that I initially thought was pretty but it's too boho and I could never style it in a way that I loved.
#12 - It seems like something I'd love but I never wore it as much as I thought I would.
#13 - Gift - I like the colors on the top but not the lace on the bottom. It was fussy too because the lace parts stuck to themselves.
#14 - Skort for hiking that's a bit snug. Plus I don't like the color.
#15 - Grey sweater that's getting worn out and also grey just doesn't look that good on me.
#16 - Black and white silky pants. The elastic waistband feels fine in the morning but always starts to bother me halfway through the day.
#17 - Blush cotton sweater. It shrinks like crazy when washed and has to be stretched and reblocked. Too much work.
#18 - Plum sweater. I've had this forever and I'm over it.
#19 - I love this dress and wear it all the time in the summer but it's showing wear - the fabric is pilled and worn. I'm already looking for something similar.
#20 - This is going in the holding zone. I wear it a lot in the summer because it's light and cool, but the colors wash me out. I don't want to get rid of it though until I find a replacement.
#21 - I just never reach for it. I think it's the neckline that I don't really like. Plus it's a tad short for work. Doable with tights and boots in the winter but then I need to find a top layer and I just don't like tons of layers.
#22 - I wore this a bunch in past summers but never reached for it this summer.
#23 - It's too oversized for what I want recently. I haven't worn in all summer.

In summary:
Shoes: 1
Handbag: 1
Dresses: 5
Skirts: 1
Shorts: 3
Pants: 1
Sweaters: 6
Tops: 5
