I wanted more out than in this year, as my wardrobe was too large, especially for really warm weather - this is my favorite shopping season, but it's only about 3 months for me. I don't mind having a little more on hand, especially because summer clothes deteriorate quickly. </p> I've kept track and it's about 60 items culled since January. Some were already on a list to be culled when pulled back out of storage; others were things I'd been hesitant about and eventually decided to eliminate. It all goes to a charity that either resells or recycles them. (I did sell one item, a J Crew coat I'd sized out of after one season of wear).<div><br /> </div><div>I've added 29 items - not the slow-ish shop I'd hoped for, but so many wardrobe essentials and shoes I'd tried on were winners. I've also been shopping from a list for the most part, so I am more deliberative, at least.</div><div><br /></div><div> I still hope to add some warmer weather wide cropped pants, one pair of shorts, plus more shoes (for my injury; improving but still needs consideration) and 1-2 dressier items. A dressy jumpsuit is sort of a HEWI, and I may have one on the way (tried the non-petite size in store and ordered petite, which may work). It's hard for me to say no to things for warm weather, but I can tell already that I'm practicing PPP better this year than in the past. I may also be buying myself an investment piece soon - more on that later, as I'm waiting on some potential good news.<br /></div><div><br /> </div><div>On to WIW's!</div><div><br /> </div><div>1-2, 8 - casual weekend looks</div><div><br /> </div><div>3-7, 9-12 - work looks, weather still kind of cool</div><div><br /> </div><div>13-14 - new Madewell dress, worn today for work and later for a reception for the new rock instrument exhibit at the Met tonight. My hip is a bit sore fro my weekend activities, so these are the only weather-appropriate shoes I can wear with this dress to the museum today. Fortunately I think they're cute, if not rock and roll - tried to make up for that with my jacket and bag.<br /> </div></p>
