thank you all for your input....looked back at the pictures, and thought about my current life....
i'm keeping #11/12 yellow floral...and won't worry about the fact that its very statementy and so won't get worn often, but will wear it more often and not worry about how "not me" it is....after all i bought it because i loved it.
will keep #3/4 black orange zip...and will try this with my white jeans...
keep #5/6 pinstripe.
keep the brown velvet, and if i don't wear it this year, pass it on.

Kate, thank you for chiming in re tailoring #13 the color block one, you voiced what i expected. i may bring it into my tailor just to see, but i expect this one will move back into my nostalgic closet.

I love Angie's assessment and recommendations. It can be really hard letting go of blazers - but I think the ones that Angie has picked still look fresh and current and give you a good choice of different looks.

You wear the ones with a longer cut just beautifully. Including the bright yellow and the color block! (Though I personally dislike those primary colors, but that’s just my stink eye, nothing to do with the jacket)
The velvet ones are a little boring, although they seem nice and on trend in concept. Maybe a little embellishment with brooches or patches would jazz them up?

Reacting before reading comments: 3/4 would look great with a red or white skirt or cropped pants, I would keep. I prefer velvet jacket with the pocket detailing. I have found my velvet jacket has incredible longevity. 10 looks good but hard to see. 11/12 fits great - do you wear it?

Life demanded I slow way down on the closet challenge, but I still plan to complete the job. You are an inspiration. I am an outlier, liking the first velvet blazer and #10 over #5 for something basic. I/2 are ok if you are ok with the gold/brass buttons over silver. I like the red on you and plaid is trending.

I like 5/6 (on my phone 5/6 look the same) and the little short velvet jacket at 7. I’d keep the short velvet jacket at 7 for wearing with midi skirts, if you have any. The longer midi skirts suit a shorter jacket, I think. It would look great with an Autumn floral pattern.
I think 11 looks current, but is it your style?
The rest I would pass on.

Re the color block jacket, a good tailor can remove the shoulder pads and replace with a much smaller pad for shaping only. The downside is that it’s quite expensive, since the tailor has to rework the shoulders. I had it done to about four jackets back in the day that had those linebacker shoulders. I still wish I had just let them go and spent that money on a couple of new jackets!

unfrumped...blazers are tough...especially since my office is now casual...while i still wear blazers to work, i am one of the few, and so where i used to wear them a couple of multiple times a week, now often a week will go by when i don't wear a blazer at all....and i feel like the difference between current and dated can be subtle but important -at least to me...
looking at the velvet blazers, the hem on the double breasted one isn't laying flat because it needs to be pressed...this blazers are limited wear items, when i need something sort of dressy, but not formal wear.....
i'd consider pulling the shoulder pads out of the last one, but i'm afaird the fit would be off...maybe someone who knows something about sewing will chime in...

1-2 is nice, but doesn’t wow me. That said, worth keeping, if you have ways to style it.

3-4 is interesting. How would you style it? I vote pass, unless you have other pieces that you love wearing it with.

5 is great

Of the velvet ones, I like 6 the best. I’d pass on 7. Color of 9 is lovely, but I agree with LaPed about the hem.

10- also fine, and worth keeping, if you’d wear it.

11-12 are fab. Would you wear colors this bright?

13- I’d pass unless you can fix the shoulder pads. Or, if you have space, keep it in a special spot in your closet for a few nostalgic items.

1/2 is nice, I love 3/4, 5/6 is nice but not wow, 7/8 might be a smidge small?, I would like 9 a lot but it seems the hem doesn't lie flat?, 10 looks very sharp and versatile, 11/12 looks super on-trend though not my style, can you remove the shoulder pads in 13? It's so great otherwise.

Random input, haven’t analyzed all, but am assuming you would wear these with different bottoms than the slim jeans. # 1 looks kind it wouldn’t be pretty with wide- leg jeans, trousers or s skirt because it’s short, but a lovely color.

Also thanks for posting; I’m still editing also and blazers are tough; some of mine look frumpy now but not sure if it’s just how to style them, so I need to get inspired to do this same thing.

The yellow blazer seems very on-trend. I think it might be worth styling to see if it’s a keeper.
The red tweed is a gorgeous fabric, but I’m not sure about it done up.
I like the pinstripe. I think it’s a classic length.

I like both velvet jackets, but they’re short. I like the double-breasted one best.

I know it’s officially November and this was an October challenge, and I’d hoped to get thus done last weekend, but got sidetracked. So I’m back at it this weekend.
Anyway up now is blazers. I should say that I love blazers, not quite as much as shoes, but almost! So I’ve got a collection.
Would like an opinion on these...
#1 & 2 Vintage tweed. Wearable? Or keep it in the past
#2 &3. Worth keeping or pass?
#4&5 was part of a suit... pinstriped. Does it pass for the current boyfriend style?
#6-9 velvet. If I was keeping one, which one.
#10. Tux inspired. Worth keeping ?
#11&12. Really different for me..too much??
#13. Bonus 90s colorblock! Love this. Iif the shoulder pads were smaller, I’d wear this again in a heartbeat!

Once again thanks in advance for any and all feedback
