I find that happens most frequently with lipsticks, which is the one makeup item I wear the most. I only wear mascara when I go out, but love Definicils, which I've been using for decades. Yikes! I hope Lancôme never discontinues it. Also sometimes their green tube clump- crusher- more subtle. I use black- brown, which seems like getting harder to find in various brands.<br /> I do like to experiment and have used a couple of expensive ones plus various drugstore brands, but right now mostly the Cover Girl. That washes off just with Cetaphil type face cleanser for me. It’s just so expensive to try things and chuck them if I don’t like them. Similar to trying a lipstick that you can’t test adequately first and with the first application go, ok, that’s no good , pffftt. It is hard to find a brown-black mascara, which is what I prefer. But When I get the Clinique free gift with my moisturizer (Superdefense), I really like the Clinique High Impact, which also comes in a brown-black.</p> <p>I love the travel size because I find those long wands hard to maneuver. Also, I prefer an old-style brush to the plastic bristles. I have used it pretty much exclusively for 40 years so am going to have to find something new. Mascara for me is what I do not leave the house without. I like Lancome Definicils but thought was a little pricey for everyday (especially since I was so happy with my Clinique glossy)&nbsp;<br />I have tried drug store brands, but I never felt they compared to Clinique for me. What are your favorites/ tried and true? </p>
