Big shout out to Jen and I think Lisa also suggested this little fabric rake with a tight coiled spring in place of teeth. It works great to get lint off the fleece and fluff up the nap!

Be warned it does snag in any loose threads around seams or zipper, so you might need to be careful if using this on a more delicate item.

LJP I do have a hair cutting razor— something to try, though it sounds time consuming.

Jenn, added to cart! Never seen those particular gadgets before.

Angie and others, I definitely have packing tape and a sweater stone, those will be my next tries…..

And Val, “wash it again” is definitely a tried and true method!

I hate to say this, but doubt you'll be able to rid the fleece of the white pills. It's not just surface fluff . However......my hair stylist discovered that her cutting/shaping razor works wonders on depilling sweaters . It works SO well I talked her into giving me another of her older used tools for this reason

I have two tools I swear by, though I haven't tried them on fleece.

This guy pulls out the deepest set cat hair. I use it on our rugs and furniture in a variety of textures, so I think it would well on something plush like fleece.

https://www.amazon.com/Portabl.....33YHP/?tag

And this style of de-piller is the best I've ever owned. Works better than the electric shavers, imo.

https://www.amazon.com/Laundre.....2FFPKRMLGB=

Mine came in a pack with both, but sadly I can't find that combo anymore. I use both tools regularly, and I don't think having a fancy branded version matters. Lots of companies make the same items and I suspect the brands like Laundress just laser engrave their logos and mark up the price.

I’ve never managed to get a fleece looking better once it reaches that pilly/linty stage that seems to make pet hair embedded, so I am on team kkards. But you could try one of those lint devices like the stone or brush if sticky rollers don’t do the trick.

There are a few things- Angie posted maybe last year? Sweater stone, battery operated, and little comb type.
That said, I've personally not had that much luck (haven't tried sweater stone).

I have a red plaid fleece from Uniqlo (several years old) that’s great for the holiday season. Unfortunately it’s accumulated a lot of lint balls and pet hair over the years. I do tend to throw it in the washer and dryer, which may be the culprit. Any tips on how to remove lint and make it look nicer again?

I have tried a sweater shaver but it didn’t help. The shaver can’t tell what is fleece and what is lint!
