The lining is what I would want to clean on mine (eventually). The outside would be easy to just wipe off.

I' m wondering if the Mr. magic eraser would work to spot clean the surface.

THanks for the input. Khris- I have a front loading washer so it would be much more gentle than the regular top loaders with the agitator.

leather cleaners work on pleather, too- I'd try that. I would advise against throwing it in the washing machine. Some things just fall apart under the agitation.

Ooo, this is of particular interest for me. Let us know how it goes! I wash "unwashable" sneakers of all kinds and they turn out fine.

I don't think it's the pleather but the lining that can get fnurled in the washer? I've had that happen. However, I've also had very good luck washing things in cold on the hand cycle, so I personally would go for it.

My cream colored pleather jacket says it's 60% polyurethane, 40% viscose, and the lining is 100% polyester. It instructs to wipe clean with soap and damp cloth only. No dry cleaning, no washing machine,
I can't imagine that throwing it in to my front loading washer with mild detergent could hurt, could it? I mean, it's basically plastic for crying out loud.
Anyone have any experience with washing their pleather jackets with success or failure?
