It's exactly the commentary I've had going on in my head. :)</p> <p>It sounds as though the best compromise is the Small with altered sleeves. The only other leather alteration I've ever had done was a pair of Aquatalia boots, and it was a disaster, so I'm very gun shy, but the best bet seems to be having Nordstrom do it. I'll cross my fingers!</p> <p>Angie, I've been snuggling Tango quite a bit this summer as he was sick there for a bit. My leather jacket couldn't be shortened that way because it was already fitted in the upper arm and I needed about 2 inches off (luckily it's a half-knit, not a zipper, so it can be done from the bottom with some extra work). Last year it was the tweed Smythe jacket (which ended up being perfection and I can't wait to wear it again), this year it's the Classiques moto.</p> <p>I originally bought it in the regular Small. The body fits well, but the sleeves have been bugging me as they're a bit wide and definitely long. I received the XS today. The body is quite snug, but the sleeve width and length looks and feels much better. </p> <p>This is what I've considered already:</p> <p>~In the few Classiques tops (silk shells, etc) I've tried, the XS fit much better than Small.</p> <p>~I like the sleeker fit of the XS but also get that many motos look good slightly oversized.<br />~I wear my jackets open and almost exclusively with fine-gauge knits rather than chunky sweaters (although that could change).&nbsp;<br />~The shoulders in both fit similarly.<br />~You can see in several of the pics that the sleeves on the Small go over my knuckles.</p> <p>~I tried the petite version and the sleeves were much too short</p> <p>I really need some opinions about which looks better. The XS is on the left of each collage while the Small is on the right.&nbsp;</p> <p>Ack! Thoughts? </p>
