I wore the jacket a handful of times because the jacket fit nicely while the pants were tight. Well, last year I pulled it out of storage because I'd lost weight. Sure enough, the pants fit...and the jacket was loose! But more importantly, even though the pants technically fit, they were not terribly flattering on me, and they were too short to wear with heels. I laughed at myself and put the suit in the donation bag. The tags were still on the pants! Good thing I'd bought it on a deep sale.</p> <p>So I have learned that weight loss is unpredictable. For example, if I really dropped 2-4 dress sizes, would I really WANT to wear the old thing or buy new anyway? Then it goes.<br /> Plus, if you consign sooner, you have better chance of selling it. If things are too out of date the shops won't want them. I obviously am not too adept at losing that dress size... The suits are about 5 years old now. Do you hang onto these things or consignment shop them while you can... </p>
