It would be stunning on you, Dianthus! It would requires simple styling, of course. I think it would work well with skirts and pants.

I think the style is great for someone wanting to wear clean and simple lines -- that is exactly how I would describe this jacket. The color adds interest but not complexity. Fit is another thing, though. I hope it works for you. So pretty.

I adore that style of jacket and think with Zara's fab customer service, it is worth a try. Gorgeous color for you Dianthus.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I looked at Tanya's post and am concerned about the fit now. Tanya is a bit taller than I am and also longer in the torso. I am quite short-waisted and my torso is short so if I size up for Zara, it will likely be too long but if I go with my usual size, it might be snug in the shoulders.

I will try to decide soon.

I love the idea of bold color if you have chosen to to down a classic path. Something HAS to be interesting, a standout, and you do that with colored pieces.

This is certainly a simple, clean-lined blazer. I am really drawn to the style; it has a little of the tuxedo vibe that I like a lot. If it's a color you love, why not? I think a statement color in an elegant blazer can fit with your goals.

Gorgeous! I too love fuchsia and magenta. I would ask yourself about color and contrast more than silhouette. It looks great with black, should look nice with navy, and maybe a darker grey. I don't imagine it would work as well with lighter denim and white might be too light. Definitely no earth tones. Do you think high contrast looks with this would work for you?

I used to wear more black and I found hot pink a very versatile color, as kiwigirl says - you could wear it as a punch of color with black, white, dark denim, charcoal, and any black and white prints. These days I'm aiming for medium contrast outfits with a lot of denim blue, olive, cream, etc. so it's harder to mix and match.

I have this in my shopping bag. My only hesitation is that the colour might be too strong for me, personally. So here's an idea -- you order it first!!

I have three blazers - one black, one pink (bright) and one red. I find the bright ones very versatile and because they are a statement piece the rest of the look can be very simple.

jeans and a tee
sheath dress
black and pants and black top
navy pants and a navy and white top

Just for starters.

This looks perfect for that direction dianthus. It is a very architectural jacket, which completely absolves the magenta from being in any way ditzy or sentimental. It is just a beautiful & powerful swath of pure color.

I have a thing for magenta and fuchsia. I admit it. I have been doing a lot of thinking about my style and where I want to go with it and feel I need to be true to my tendency towards clean lines and simple outfits.

This blazer calls to me with its bold color but is it something that would fit in with the path I have chosen to follow?
