Probably a trend that we'll get over once our toes get sore. </li> <li>Harem pants - on the fringe, but still very much alive for those who want to wear them. Current in an urban avant-garde way. </li> <li>Flares - somewhat on the way back, but my guess is they'll remain a fringe thing for now. Skinny hegemony is not really shifting. Probably a trend for now.</li> <li>Track pants/joggers - the luxe version is a trend and the rest should stay indoors where they belong.</li> <li>Draped/waterfall profiles - current, has been around for ages and I think it may be heading into classic territory by now. </li> <li>Asymmetric tops - no idea. Haven't seen much of it around here.</li> <li>Lots of those boots look to me like classics that are trending. The wedges are definitely a trend that I think may die soon. I will venture on Harem Pants tho. I think that they are actually very fringe, even tho they have been available in the mainstream.  I have seen virtually no-one wear them, apart from myself and other forum members.  Where I live, you are more likey to see boys/men rocking a dropped crotch look than a woman. I think this style sits a little more with alternate designers for the most part and will be available in variations from those designers. I also think that potentially the comfort of some of the draped styles like the waterfall cardigans, will add to their longevity.  I would expect their will be different versions as AG says and that will keep the look current.  When I look back at the first 'waterfall' cardigan I bought 10 years ago (it was 10 years because I wore it for my 40th - so they have been around for at least 10 years), I cringe, it was pretty daggy, not quite the edgy, sharp looks that are about now. Here is what I think (and I could be very wrong, because I live in another part of the world...trends come here later) <ul> <li>Pointy toes: both, though I'm going to add that pointy toes trend is not likely to pass anytime soon. Especially the ones with ankle straps are both current and trendy....same for lasercut designs.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Harem pants: fringe trend for a few years, perhaps passing. Even in this part of the world, I haven't seen any new designs. Shannon post trendy vs. current, I am still confused about some things- Pointy toe footwear-trend or current?  I am saying trend ? Harem pants-a trend that did not really fly, and is over-right? flares-trying to be a trend? track pants-a trend..maybe has staying power, right? waterfall or drapey front cardis and jackets-current ?  This is on an item on my list and have a blue jacket in my Nordies bag.  Getting this on sale as I am not sure of its lasting power.   have a cardi like this in a peach color that I wear a lot so am considering another. Asmetrical tops-trend or current? confused about this one. Are the booties and boots in todays Angie blog a fall trend?  I am getting the timberland sneakers in black as they fit my style and lifestyle.  also am looking at fringed booties because I like them and want them, not really caring if they are trendy or not.
