Love those happy sneakers. They look great with the red.

I find Ecco sizing very consistent also. I am always a 39 (8-8.5 US). I do have friends with wider, higher volume feet who can't wear many of their styles; can't be more precise than that though. I think these sneakers run towards being a slightly wider medium fit. My feet are average toe box width, with narrower heels and generally lower volume.

Thanks, y'all! Elizabeth P, I love your outfits! I am not against matching the color at all. :) But lately I have been admiring less "studied" color combinations on others, and want to push myself to be a bit more free with color coordination. Matching is my first impulse.

karen13 -- I have a nice little herd of Eccos now: I find them darn near perfect for my feet. I wear a size 11 almost universally, and Ecco size 42 (11-11.5) is right on the money for me. I have regular-width foot that is on the low volume size (a concept I never even thought of before YLF!) with a slightly narrow heel. I have found most Eccos have better than average arch support (better than the Borns I have tried). I have a few Borns, and typically find them a touch wider than Eccos. I'm thinking that if you find Borns perfect you may find Eccos more fitted, but could work.

Gotta go get ready for work but just wanted to say ... my pair arrived yesterday and the did not disappoint! The color is just perfect -- a little more on the green side than I expected, but this is actually a better match to my wardrobe (or a better contrast, we'll see!) I see what you mean by the seams -- I notice them but they don't seem to be causing any friction on my foot, so I think they won't be an issue for me.

I threw them on with yesterday's outfit just for fun -- doesn't match, but why not, it's kinda fun with the red and white stripes!

I love the colour zing. I've recently started wearing white sneakers not unlike a lot. I have size 10 feet and totally know about larger feet looking like the most giant flappers. You know, I can signal space. But this kind of sneaker is low bulk, and I find this doesn't happen with them.

It happens that I have this photo on my phone. I was in dressing room trying on top and I was wearing ecco sneakers. I get compliments on them all the time. But I did not get the top in the end.

Question for Ecco sneakers buyers- how is the width and length?

I have a wider forefoot, and find shoes like Keen and Born fit well in regular sizes. I am mightily tempted by the Ecco high tops, but will have to buy them on line. I usually wear a US7 in a shoe with socks, but can rang 6.5-7.5 depending on the brand. Any info is much appreciated.

These are the only two threads I've posted here wearing them, I definitely wore them quite a bit for a few weeks, then my toes came out for the summer. But yes, I love them. They get compliments every time I wear them, and the colour makes me smile. As you can see I have matched it with something else in the threads above, but I also think they work really well colour blocked with something in the same tone... orange, or turquoise for example.

I can post more outfit pics when I get home if you'd like.

I hope they work for you, let us know!

I have these in the deep purple color. I hesitated on the citron color, as I can't generally wear it. Now wishing I tried them, because away from my face the brightness would have played well with most of my summer wardrobe. I like the purple pair and may wear them more in early fall.

As to balky shoe seams, I found an easy fix for one pair by cutting adhesive backed moleskin to size and covering them. All shoes are different, yet it may be worth a try.

Thanks, y'all!

delurked, the purple color is really pretty too!

Suz, I will look for Elizabeth P's posts. My YLF attendance is spotty during the workweek, so I must have missed them! And I haven't made good use of YLF's search features and really should.

Angela K, the observation about citron as a neutral is quite interesting. Indeed I can think of almost nothing it cannot combine with -- some combos more bold than others, but most feel quite fresh when I picture them in my mind's eye. Citron and kelly green, citron and deep red, citron and teal, citron and orange ... sometimes it may be a matter of finding the right balance but I think all of those could work!

chouette22, I would love to see your outfits! Ecco is a new favorite for me: I was not familiar with the brand pre-YLF, but now it may be my favorite, especially for comfort! I also acquired some metallic Ecco sneakers (Chase II Tie in Moon Rock) and they have the best arch support of any sneakers I have ever had (and I have *a lot* of sneakers)!

I kept them, but until I did, I waffled quite a bit. Mine were the last ones in my size (I had to reorder as they run so big) and they seemed to have a little bit of a manufacturing problem at the inside front seams. They were protruding quite a bit on two spots and were rubbing my feet a lot, and for that price I wasn't willing to take the risk. I had ordered also a second pair (different Eccos, in a metallic color) and they were perfect. I hesitated a lot and then called Zappos - they promptly reduced the price by $50.00, and that sealed the deal.
I didn't take them on my one month Europe stay (because of those seams) but have been wearing them quite a bit since my return. I actually have been meaning to post a couple of outfits with them and I'll see if I get around to it today or tomorrow. They really go with a lot and I just love the color.

Curious about other successes with this shoe. I found them on clearance in purple and got them recently. I need to replace the insert and give them a try.

I have these sneakers! I was inspired by ElizabethP and since they were a pick by Angie felt like I couldn't go wrong and I totally love them. Angie says that the citron color is a neutral and I agree. I find that I am able to wear these with lots of things and even decided l love the color so much that I purchase a hand bag in the same color. I know you are going to love them.

A few months back I read this thread: http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....o-sneakers. I loved the color, but was hesitant about whether they would work for me -- that's a mighty bright color to put on my size 11 feet. I don't mind bright for casual sneakers (I have brightly colored retro running sneaks and Converse) but somehow these feel a bit more stylish, and therefore more of a "statement", if that makes any sense.

So, I'd look at them from time to time, and *almost* buy, then something would stop me ... how much will they "go" with, after all? But then I saw stock was low in my size, and suddenly realized I didn't want to miss out. So soon they will be on my doorstep. :)

Having done it, I feel more confident they'll work with a lot of stuff. With an otherwise all black and white outfit, for example. And they could look great with dark denim and any saturated color top. I'm less wild about matching them to something else of the same color, but obviously that's an option too.

But, going back to that older thread ... Elizabeth P, Momo, and chouette22 (and others, too) -- did you keep and love these sneakers? I would love to see your outfits styled around them, to inspire me while I wait for mine to arrive!
