I think the author's daughter was born in maybe 2001?- I tried to work it out from the writing date and how old the girl was at times in the book. Might have been a bit later. At least 10 years after my first daughter, who was born 1991. I found the book made me think a lot. Good mix of thinking and cultures in it too, from Jewish to Christian and different ethnic groups so getting a mix of cultures/subcultures thinking. Discussing it would be awesome- we could always go off topic.
