It's the artificial tree my mom got with my help about a dozen years ago, when big trees became too much for her to handle. Both daughters are temporarily living at home, and one has brought a kitten, so I'm not putting up a full size tree. We have a tabletop tree and we shall see how that goes. I mostly decorate my little hutch, swap the Blue Willow dishes for red, add electric candles everywhere, and change my textiles to reds from blues. I like it. Our entire neighborhood puts out luminaries, so we put those out last weekend when the weather was still in the 50's. </p> <p>Today we put up the tree. It makes me happy because it is a mix of classic and very quirky ornaments. Cythnthia, I have TWO dachshunds and there are plenty of doggie ornaments on our tree. One of the pups "helped" add the pheasant feathers to the tree while the other pouted because I had given her a bath.</p> <p>Tomorrow I will put up an small iron ornament tree with Swarovski snowflake ornaments. My husband and I got married at the end of December and we add a new ornament for each year. We are up to 11, so it's starting to look very sparkly.
