Just for fun, I've been trying to keep a little holiday in everything I've been wearing for the past week -- without resorting to Christmas sweaters or reindeer headbands! It helps me find new remixes for those winter clothes that I'll be so sick of come March! I'm still on the hunt for more burgundy this year --- a little deeper than the red here, which I also love. I'm at the point, however, when I can "afford" to be PPP. Mine has that simple distinctive Levi dip and arch stitching on the backside -- with the small red tag. I wore this to attend a concert. It begins with crimson (it's photographing lighter) t-neck paired with a newish skirt that's part of a revamp of my "concert black" performing capsule. I needed a skirt that covers my knees and is non-binding (breathe!) and lightweight (those lights are HOT). This skirt is a georgette/chiffon sewn on in bias strips. It won't be everyone's cuppa, but I like a little movement in my skirts/dresses on stage. It has a smocked midriff, which is great for singing, but tough on tucking. It was brutally cold, so I wore tights and tall boots, but I'd prefer this with my black patent peep toes or my black booties and sheerer black hose.</p> <p>2. With my new dressy purse -- a clutch that is faux-snakeskin (DSW faux, not K-Mart faux).</p> <p>3. Same sweater, in a combo from my travel capsule. Levi's mid-rise skinnies, low-heeled boots, and an OLD boiled-wool vest. I wouldn't purchase this vest today, but it's just the right amount of warmth, and I like the layering/textural element. </p> <p>4. With a largish challis scarf -- just the warmth, but light and very versatile, this will make it into my suitcase. I feel a little Ornella-ish, </p>
