Much love to you both.</p> <p>I needed a a lot of Christmas this year and we decorated our 10-foot live tree, small fake tree, put up wreaths on exterior doors, and lit up the 30-foot crape myrtle in the front yard and the smaller maple in the back yard. Exterior lights on doorways, rails, fences, and in trees and shrubbery have exploded in our neighborhood and all over Capital Hill. The best decorations are smiles and love.&nbsp;</p> <p>I decorated our house with almost every decoration I own (a lot of it inherited). I promised myself this year that I'd either use it all or give the unused stuff away. So I ended up decorating the fresh-cut tree we got, and my mom's little artificial tree I bought for her 18 years ago and decided to keep after she passed. I also made two Christmas villages from the pieces I inherited and some I've acquired over the years (we didn't have the proper space for one big one). Plus random bits and pieces around the house. The fun comes through in them. You both make me smile. Our decorations are low key dominated by gnomes and Scandinavian Tompte or trolls (2-4) and religious crèches. My little grandson took all the shepherds, sheep and angels from their green felt field and wisemen and camels on their way on a distant East window sill and crammed them all in and around the stable saying baby Jesus should be having a party.
