I really like #1. The jacket is so fabulous it elevates everything (even leggings, my personal bete noire -- which look fabulous on you, by the way). I also think the "cut up" version, as you call it, emphasizes the gamine aspect of your style. Very urban chic.

I also like #3. Love a good trench, and for me personally, that would be easier to wear. Just because of coverage.

Nice to see you Kelly!

Rachy - good point about a coat or jacket making the leggings look more like outside wear.

Thank you for your feedback ladies!
It looks like it's all a matter of personal preference. I keep thinking that one look might stand out as better than another, but that is not the case. Thank you for clarifying that.

I ended up wearing the leather jacket today as It is actually warmer than the trench despite the shorter length.

My fave is #1. It adds a little shine to the soft, provides contrast. I also like the tough vibe of the moto. I think it makes the leggings 'outside wear' as opposed to inside wear worn outside.

You are certainly slim enough to pull off the chopped-up look, but the coat in #3 is such a great length and color for you, it wins my vote for favorite. All three versions look good--casual and well defined. I'm not a fan of long vests, so can't really give you an objective opinion on that.

#3 is my favourite, but it skews as more classic (which is what my eye likes) whereas #1 is a little more RATE. The take-away would be that you can style it either way, and look good.

I'm wearing leggings in public! Frankly, I'm not 100% sure this is my thing, but thought I'd try it anyway.

My main question today is:

Do you prefer the silhouette with the leather jacket (chopped up) or the one without (photos 2 and 3). Am I splitting hairs?

I think I might prefer NOT chopped up, and think it might be better with a long vest.

What do you think?

Shoes: Nike
Leggings: Costco
Top: second hand
Scarf: gap
Leather jacket: Mackage
