That's impressive, Kristen.
I have terribly outdated and not very practical luggage, so I'm no help. We don't travel much, so it's not really an issue. I had one hardsided suitcase that I loved- it was thrifted years ago. It was white with a bold graphic floral design, and bright orange lining. It wasn't in very good condition, though, and I finally gave it up. Not long ago, I found the identical suitcase on display in the window of a Samsonite store. It was pretty funny.

I went on a luggage spree last year, finally buying practical, colorful luggage in a variety of colors and styles. I got:
-two red Samsonite hard-sided suitcases with wheels, one extra-large and one presumably small enough to use as carry-on
-a red canvas weekender bag, which is even better as carry on because it hold SO MUCH and really does fit in the overhead bin.
-a brown nylon 2nd bag, which works great as the one to tuck under the seat. It has three pockets so I can fit food, magazines, electronics and my actual purse in it, and then it folds up easily into my other bags when I don't need it anymore.

These 3 bags have improved my traveling experience tenfold; I had to run 20 gates last weekend to make my connection in Dallas, and I slung that weekender bag over my shoulder and HAULED DUPA to the gate... and in a dress and boots! I made it with literally two minutes to spare. I could not have done that with a roller suitcase.

I have returned from TJMaxx and *almost* wound up with a DVF in fushia nylon with decorative zipper trim. But my son talked me into a violet-colored suitcase with silver trim that has wheels that turn 360 degrees, making it easy to handle. It was somewhat of a triumph of functionality over fashion, although the violet is pretty cute.

Sarah, yours sounds gorgeous! Ele, I'm not sure about the quality of this one. Fingers crossed!

I'm so boring when it comes to luggage- most of my pieces are black, from Samsonite and the like. I have bright, bold luggage tags which help me identify them.

I find it difficult to find really good quality luggage in bold colours/prints- it seems that it's often form or function, but rarely both. Quality is important to me for luggage- I'd hate for MY bag to be that one you sometimes see on the baggage belt, all busted open and spilling its guts

I found mine at TJMaxx last year. It's red patent DVF. Both outer zip sections on the front of both the large and medium bags are tufted. Very easy to find, stylish, and water proof.

I'm off to TJMaxx in search of cute, stylish luggage. Why? Because there's NO way my clothes and hubby's clothes can possibly fit in that one suitcase Clearly my wardrobe demands a suitcase of its own.

My goal is to find something bright and colorful ... maybe cobalt ... that I can easily spot on a luggage conveyor.

With the holidays coming up, has anyone bought any stylish luggage lately?
