Thanks goldenpig! I do have problems in the forefoot more often in closed-toe shoes, although ironically they also stay less well on my heels. Size 35.5 doesn't look to be available anywhere in the US unless I order from Chie Mihara's European site. I may just wait until Spring when I'm in France and hopefully can find someplace to try some shoes on.

Also, in case anyone sees this thread later--I called Nordstrom CS and was told that none of their stores stock Chie Mihara's any more.

Oops, I just checked and the pair of pumps I have (which look similar in style to the #1 pair of shoes you linked) I sized up half a size to 38, because the toe box was narrow. My suede sandals are 37.5. So if you have a wide forefoot, you are definitely going to have to size up esp. in the closed toed shoes.

That pump is gorgeous. I've had reasonably good luck having my shoes stretched, fwiw.

Just double checked my sizing. I ordered 8 1/2. I go between an 8 1/2 and 9 typically. The 8 1/2 was fine for length for me.

Oh, and super cute shoe's you've picked out!!!

Ironkurtin, it's about 50% off, which puts it just at the top of my splurge price range. I'd have to save up considerably more (and convince myself to drop that amount on one item) to afford Chie Mihara at full price.

ETA: Product pics of the two pairs I like best that are on sale and available in size 35 (I've only seen 35.5 on the European-based Chie Mihara online store). I love both designs but was previously leaning toward the pump because leather is sturdier than suede. But if suede stretches more, then it may be a safer bet with final sale.

I find that I run a size small in CMs. So I usually wear a 8.5 to 9, and a 38 is fine (although a 38.5) is better. It seems to vary from style to style, however. How good is the sale break?

I bought a pair from Amazon recently. My foot is wide. The CM shoe that I bought fit me narrowly--in fact so narrowly that I wasn't sure that I could get my foot into it. I was suede though, so as I wore it, it warmed up and my foot fit. I don't know if all fit the same way, but I wouldn't take the risk on final sale since you said your forefoot is wide.

The only high-end department store I have access to right now is Nordstrom at Woodfield Mall outside Chicago, purportedly a pretty big mall so hopefully a major Nordstrom as well? Nordstrom only carries Chie Mihara in select stores. Most US retailers don't even stock size 35 Chie's (including Amazon/Endless) but I will definitely check at Nordstrom this weekend--there's a good chance that if the store does have Chie Mihara, they'll have my size. I love Nordstrom for giving me the chance to actually try on my size in-store and in the majority of their shoes.

Oooh, final sale is tough esp for expensive shoes like Chie Miharas. I have two pairs of Chie Mihara pumps--one sandal with ankle strap and one Mary Jane pump, both of them 37.5 and I usually wear a size 7.5. I would say my feet are average width. Can you go to a store and try on some other Chie Miharas for size?

Is anyone familiar with the smaller size range of Chie Mihara shoes? (I know that Euro shoe sizing tends to depart further from US as sizes get bigger.) My standard size is a US 5 or Euro 35, sometimes 5.5 for width. I have a wider forefoot and narrow heels that slip easily, especially in closed-toe shoes. I've never worn wide sizes though, due to a combination of 5W being a unicorn size and the half size up enough to accommodate (not to mention easier to find).

I'm considering a pair of Chie Mihara pumps on final sale in size 35. Is there a significant risk that they will be too narrow for me?
