I feel terrible that I was gone for so long, but I am really excited to be back and looking forward to catching up on things. </p> <p>I am doing really well, and glad to finally be in a place where I feel like I can participate here again. The short(ish) version of what kept me away for so long is that a bunch of things came to a head all at once.</p> <p>I finished my undergrad degree, and then my partner and I immediately moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, so there was school chaos and moving chaos (part of the moving chaos is that we had no internet at home for months). I also had to adjust to being back at work full-time after having been a student for so long. On top of all that, I had a very unpleasant illness that took just about everything I had to keep going. It wasn't life-threatening, but I was miserable and had to focus on very short-term things for a while there.</p> <p>Anyway, I am happy to report that we are getting settled in, and that after finally being properly diagnosed and undergoing minor surgery, I am doing much, much better. </p> <p>I look forward to reading up and seeing what everyone's been up to, as well "meeting" some wonderful new folks who've arrived while I was away.</p> <p>Happy New Year! </p>
