Whereas aquas and turquoises are great, especially if they have more green in them. </p> <p>The teal I was seeing in retail stores, and that is now turning up in thrift stores and consignment, is what I call Lack-Of-Commitment Teal - the color doesn’t have depth or saturation, and it looks like they skimped on dye. One of the attractions of teal for me is that it works so well with forest green (another favourite). I’m sure you agree. I think the teal slides are still available at Free People. Just be aware that they are not for serious walking. As many of the reviewers mention, they have a tendency to slip to the side the longer you walk in them. I kept them because I adore them so much. Such drool-worthy teal pieces here!! I find the deep petrol shades that I love are much harder to come by than the lighter turquoise. I tend to hoard pieces in deep teal when I find them. </p> <p>I had to purge some teal things this year (including a narrow chiffon scarf that became a staple during pandemic hair times that snagged on a zipper. ). My collection is mostly tops and accessories, and I would love to find those sandals of yours!! I think we have the same ribbed H&amp;M top - it is a major workhorse for me in spring and fall. </p> <p>Other favorite pieces are a cashmere turtleneck sweater and some scarves- a small one for warmer weather and three big ones for cold. Two of the winter scarves may not count - the teal is woven in with other colors, but it stands out when you see the full scarf.
