It's funny that my clothes are nearly all quite casual but they look so much more stylish on the nice hangers. I even hang some of my favorite tees because I don't want to wear them wrinkled and when I fold them, they always seem to end up that way.</p> <p>I also bought some nice heavy acrylic organizers for my makeup drawer and other bathroom drawer. The "premium" wooden hangers. You can buy them in a case of 36 for around $45 if I remember correctly. I already had some from a couple years back so I didn't have to replace all of them. I probably have about 50 shirt hangers and 20 pant hangers. And then of course more of the bar hangers for pants. But the biggest bonus was my realization I did have a very clear, very distinct personal style despite my inability to ever come up with a catchy descriptive moniker. Jackets and coats are on wooden hangers, skirts are on wooden hangers with clips, and everything else is on those thin velvet hangers. I made the mistake of buying velvet hangers in bits and pieces, so they’re different colors, but this year I decided to make that work for me. So the some Olka hangers from the container store, which work well for knits but are a bit too wide. Then some no slips and a few of the bump begones that Angie featured a while ago. The nice walnut wooden type. And I am nearly done replacing all the plastic hangers I had been using in my closet. For me, someone who is very focused on the "look" of things it has already made a huge difference. Somehow having my clothes on really nice hangers - and grouped by color and type - has made me see my clothing more clearly. Everything looks *better*. It also made me re-evaluate&nbsp; some items I had been holding but not wearing. Did the item earn a place on my finite number of new hangers?&nbsp; </p> <p>It's funny how one change like this can really make such a difference. I wonder why I waited so long. Expense? Surely I didn't spend more on the hangers than I might have spent on shopping mistakes. Laziness? Well, maybe a little ;-). </p> <p>Anyway, bottom line is that changing out your hangers can go a long way in changing how you feel about your wardrobe. Just thought I'd share the inspiration! </p>
