I made a similar decision in 2018 to jump off the career ladder. I now only work part time from home and don’t see that changing. My husband is older than I am and has chronic health issues. You start to realise at a certain stage in your life that the most precious commodity you have is time. The change has taken some adjusting to (which tends to surprise people). But I don’t regret it.
