I've worked every way imaginable: part-time,5/8,4/10, and for a short time the weird 3-4/12 hour shift. I always like a split of the hours between my work day and home life everyday, that way I could live a little everyday and not just on days off. Currently I work 4-10's and my day off rotates such that once a month I get a four day weekend. I will now be working 5-8's. I lose my four day weekend, but I get off early enough I can actually occasionally go out after work. Like I can actually go to a happy hour :). So at this point I don't know if there will be a net increase or net decrease in WIW's.
