My 2 Chanalesque jackets are more cropped than yours, so I feel better wearing them with pencil skirts than with pants. I should experiment with pants though. Under the jackets I wear turtlenecks, shells, sleevless blouses, and sometimes a buttondown shirt with the cuffs out. I think they would work with a sheath dress but don't think I've actually worn either that way. (The not so obvious question today is if you have one how do/did you style yours?) It was from that Narciso Rodriguez/ Kohl's team up back in October/November last year. The trousers are the side zip variety (cropped and tapered) from Talbot's Outlet and the sweater is a Marshall Field's brand that I've had since fall 2005.
