It makes me want to pair polka dots with Converse.&nbsp;<br />This summer, polka dots had a moment on the Quebec scene. 2 local designers (<a rel="nofollow" href="http://https://annie50.com/en/spring-summer-2016/">Annie 50</a> and <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.rienneseperd.com/en/collection-clothing/">Rien ne se perd tout se crée</a>) offered them in skirts, dresses but mostly you could find them in detailing, often paired with stripes, lace (or both). I delved into it! Then I realized I needed to work on a contrasting item to frame the dots: bright solid red works well, as bright green or yellow.. and of course black and white.&nbsp;<br />The traditionnal polka dots were often white dots on navy; but the new trend seems to be turning its nose on the hue and favoring black instead.&nbsp;<br />I like to pair dots with a denim jacket.<br />One last (funny) detail: when I was young and didn't speak much English, I misheard ’’polka dots’’ and thought it was a print names after some obscur designer, Paul Cadotte.
